Hoping both you and Cardiff make it to the final of the play offs - what will the motorway be like - better petition for the game to be played at the Millennium Stadium ?
I was discussing this with my workmate the other day - I can foresee utter mayhem lol. That's what it's all about though! please log in to view this image
No. Mayhem is not what it's all about. I'm not going with my ten year old (if we make it) because of that attitude.
Hmmmm guess the M4 could be closed to all but the Welsh fans going to Wembley with all 6 lanes heading the same direction before then flip after the game? That'd work...
I've said all along (but not on any message board) that if we make it and Cardiff make it also, you'd have to allocate service stations to particular sets of fans. Then you'd have to make it illegal (for the day) to drive with flags/signs in the window for the safety of all involved. So this is how it would go: Sarn Park (Swansea fans only) Cardiff West and East (Cardiff fans only) Magor (Swansea fans only) Leigh Delamere (Cardiff fans only) Membury (Swansea fans only) Chieveley (Cardiff fans only) Reading (Swansea fans only) Heston (Cardiff fans only if needed) That's how I can see it panning out. Would be safe and wouldn't detract from the day as fans will only mingle with like minded fans. Then when they get to Wembley, there should be a great enough police presence to keep things under control. Not necessarily the only way it can be done, but this would be my plan if I were in charge of the situation! Call me stupid if you must
Glam - It was a joke. We all want a great day out with no trouble. Kidderz - Not a bad idea. The flags/banners thing is pointless though. It adds to the day, plus were hardly going to smash into one another in our cars/coaches etc, are we?
I know, at the moment, it's hypothetical by hopefully by 10pm (or later) it'll become relevant. The individual service stops would be a good idea but I can only see that working for coaches only. I'm not sure about the banning flags scarfs etc because, as said above, it all adds the the 'away day' atmosphere and unless the South Wales Police were to post officers at each service station, how many of the police forces along the M4 could tell the difference between 2 sets of Welsh fans by voice alone? (excluding individual ticket checking - which would be a nightmare task on its own). Having said that, we both know we've got idiot fans who would find a loop hole so, in my opinion, a mini-bus full going up against god knows how many coaches would deserve everything they got...regardless of whether they're a Bluebird or a Swan. Anyway, I'm off to get into match mode so I'll wish you guys all the best for Wembley - but will respectfully retract it if we join you View attachment 2989
