He's made the wise decision to take a break from social media. Maybe the serenity of Not606 would suit him?

Apart from slagging people off, is there anything Mr ban Gerwen likes?

Here's a clue - you won't find him crooning "Knockin' on heaven's door" any time soon...

He's one of our best players and I love watching him play, but his recent comments have made him look like a massive tw@ if we're being honest

Well the transfer window has come and gone and Lyle Taylor is still a Charlton player.

I'm glad he has decided to take a break from social media. What he needs to do now is accept that he didn't get his move, and work on getting his head right for a tough first half of this Championship season.
We need Lyle Taylor to be back to his dangerous best for us, not mooching around feeling sorry for himself or not putting in 100% because his heart isn't in it anymore. Only he can fix that, but beyond our natural expressions of frustration at his behaviour I don't see what will be achieved going forward if we fans continue to take pops at him.

Let some time pass, let him get things sorted out and regain his focus.
Even if the Club announces (for whatever reason) that Taylor isn't starting this weekend against Stoke, I think it won't help if too many supporters react badly to that. Yes, every game is important now. But for the sake of our whole season I would rather have LT given a short while to sort his head out and then be the player we need him to be, than have him feuding with a section of our fans, getting worked up and probably sent off in the next few weeks.

We need the goals he can bring when he is at his best.

I would like to remind everybody that it is only the window in England that has closed.... in the rest of Europe (including the land of the Scotch I believe) it is still open.

    Taylor could still go yet.

An opinion that is apparently shared by many within the club.

Like Saha, I wonder if he will be at training today.... this nonsense all started at the beginning of the summer when he eulogised about his Agents and then Tweeted that he was here if anybody wanted to talk..... oh well, we got him on a free and there is no such thing as a free lunch!

is it known if he did or didnt want to move??

i cant quite work it out. i didnt see any negative comments aimed towards him at all. despite all the bids, i was told he was seen in woolwich mcdonalds yesterday afternoon - hardly something someone who wants to move would do (especially if you compare it to that odemwingie fella).

He hasn’t covered himself in glory this week but that’s the modern footballer for you.

I support the club, not transitory players.

Strange that such a good player reached the age of 29 without playing at a higher level than L1, where he would still be if not for Steve Gallen. He's still unproven against Championship defenders. He deservedly got POTY because of the burden he had to shoulder last season, but really he still has a lot to prove to live up to the hero worship of some fans, which may have gone to his head.

Your theory holds true, he hasn't blocked me but I don't tweet often. He's blocked Tyson Snr and all the oak lot though.

I find all this talk of abuse strange, I haven't seen a single tweet criticising him, only fans groveling and complaining about the criticism. When asked, they don't provide any evidence and I'm called a "hater".

Strange - anyway, Oak tomorrow from 11:30, should be a good day!

Bowyer must be the only manager to ever convince Duchatelet to do something outside of short-term interest.
