He has to go now while there is still a chance for Giggs (or whoever) to freshen up the squad and whip up some passion in what remains of this season. With just 15 PL matches left to secure the vital points needed to get us into the CL next season we cannot afford any delay.

I haven't caught up on the post match comments

Does Van Gaal still think he's in a title race?

lol at those who thought a deflected smash and grab against us meant anything had changed

I always knew the Glazers don't the interest of Utd fans in their 'hearts' and the continued presence of LVG proves it. To be honest, I think the damage is already done. The players has forgotten how to pass forward and shoot on target and Leicester and Spurs winning their matches mean the top 4 is out of the equation. We'll be lucky to even finish in the top 6.

28 goals in 22 matches (same as Sunderland) is truly pathetic and relegation form. Thank God we still have De Gea.

Your guys got lucky at Carrow Road. You come here acting brash but deep down, I bet you're biting your hands off to be in our position. Man Utd are mediocre but what does it say about Liverpool when you're below us?!?!?

    Nope

I'm sure most Man Utd fans would be willing to sacrifice the three points you currently have over us to swap Van Gaal for Klopp <cheers>

Would you blame the players when LVG brainwash them and fixed them to play turgid football at your club?

You and Astro need to get a room :emoticon-0135-makeu

We didn't win any game in December. Now in January we have played 5, won 3 (all scrappy wins to be honest ) drew 1 and lost 1. That's mid table form at best. We are now a team that rely on luck to get points... The last time we comfortably won a game was still against Everton many many months ago... I just pity the fans that go to old Trafford every other week to watch this pathetic display.

That's not even the worst. The worst is that we can't even seem to be able to keep the ball anymore. At least at the start of the season we had ball possession as compensation for not being able to score goals. But ever since the defeat at arsenal, that ball possession game has become worse and worse. Which brings me back to what I said sometimes ago. At the start of the season teams were afraid to get at us and we were able to pass the ball around and bore them with possession. Ever since arsenal defeated us, teams have become smarter and they know if they come out and go at us, that LVG lacks the technical ability to counter. So yes the team is only going to get worse. No goals, and now not even the possession to act as compensation. LVG is really clueless and I don't think he knows what he is doing. He should have left after the stoke game.

Tbf I don't see us making top 4 because we are counting on lucks to get points while our rivals like spurs are scoring and winning easily. We will be lucky to even finish above westham. Brace ur selves, I don't think this team will get any better. Unless the management takes a drastic decision, sack LVG, pick up the pieces ... It can't get worse than this.

It's faintly ridiculous that the board haven't sacked him in time to give any replacement the chance to sign players in January. I can only come to two conclusions:

    1. Like Moyes he has a clause in his contract that means the payoff is less if we miss out on the CL
    2. We have already lined up a manager for next year and thus don't see the point of bringing in an interim who may not be any better

Either way, unless he is sacked tonight I can't see them making a decision before the end of the season

So all those talking about top 4 were doing it on the basis of the 1 win in 8 you managed before you beat us? <yikes>

On the basis we had actually started to attack a little bit, it looked like a small improvement (which is all it would need in this league to get top 4) <ok>
