@CAFCofficial: GL: "Simon Makienok will not be ready for Saturday." #cafc The question I would ask is why do players who are injured take such a long time to recover. Is it because we are incompetent? Or is it an unrealistic time frame put on recovery?
It goes beyond this - it's another question mark over the recruitment. Big Mak apparently had quite a lot of injuries last season too. Off the top of my head, he played less than a handful of games (also, he probably wasn't good enough for the serie A).
http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/sport/...nt_ahead_of_Reading_trip_despite_injury_woes/ So this International break has not helped with injuries at all.
I swear about a month ago I saw Ceballos doing wide grip pull ups, looking very close to recovery It's obvious Simon Mak's injury is a cause of bringing him back too early from a dodgy hamstring The Igor situation is embarrassingly cringeworthy The communication from club to supporters regarding our injuries is non-existent
Vetekole is now called Fatakole by some of our fans on Twitter, which always provokes a defensive response from Mrs Igor. Perhaps she should ask Fatakole why it has taken him a WHOLE YEAR to get over an injury which normally takes 2-3 months to clear up. Let's not kid ourselves that there may be lifestyle issues at play here either, Sam Allardyce's new biography this week has been very illuminating in that respect. In it he says that there are many players who just don't want to be fit or care about playing. Is Fatakole one of them? Twelve months FFS
Bare in mind he was seemingly forced to play through the injury though. That could cause long term problems. The lifestyle point is interesting. As is a cultural one. It's been said before a lot of players coming to England find a lot of the food ''hard to resist''. Odd seeming as a nation we're meant to have poor cuisine.
Where Vetekole is concerned, Sven's famous cliche comes to mind.... "First three months rather good, second twelve months rather bad".
The club have a duty of care for all employees - but it seems in regards to the players they have failed several times. You just know if Igor is sold/loaned he will go and do the business again. Mere coming out and talking about the Premiership not being the aim as it stands hardly gets the fire going for them too.
