"you only post when it goes wrong,where are you when we play well"? tbh when this forum first started i was on here most of the time,so i would say alot of the posts i was replying to or writting were quiet positive,but to be fair what have we to be positive about? yea ok we won the carling cup,yea great a trophy i am all for that and yes we have a chance to win the fa cup as well,but at the end of the day i look at our football club and i am thinking we have not progressed since the days of gerard houllier and that is going back now for over 12 years,yes we have shown signs of improvement on a short term basis and then WHACK we are back to square one again as we are this season. also i was subjected to a bit of abuse from lucaaas so thats why i have not been on for a while,but dont get me wrong when i can come on and post about liverpool in a positive way believe you me i will,but i will say one thing and that is we have been mighty unlucky with some of our results this season,as we have outplayed most teams this season and came out of it with nothing,but i still believe most of our problems stem with the management and team selection and with players that have been brought in, but i do believe we have players on the frindges of the first team whilst looking at the reserves and under 19,s who are worthy off a place in the first team.
Not really Berbs, some of the anti-Kenny posters get the Loyal type jumping down there throat when they express any concern about the team. Both parties have a right to express there opinion. Without differing opinions there would be nothing to discuss, everyone would just agree. I hope Kenny proves everyone wrong and we can wear that famous smile again (soon)
theres a famous smile? and the OP states that his club have already won a trophy and are in for another this season..yet hes disapointed....gone are the days when football was beautiful....a trophy for some fans lasted them for years of mental positivity back in the day. Now society is just fkin spoilt!
As one of the pundits (Shearer or Dixon) on Match of the Day said, we entered 3 competitions at the start of the season and could still have won two of them in the season. Not a bad return for a team in transition, is it?
It's good, there have been some real high points this season. But the recent league form is pretty poor, let's just hope it's a bad spell. C'mon Kenny. One step forward, two steps back, should be our song at the moment.
As I posted earlier today we had similar bad spells under Rafa and Houllier in their first seasons in charge. I think keeping Kenny at least until the end of next season is worth the risk, because seeing him win our first league title in 20 something years would mean much more to the fans and to the whole club than some bad Mourinho-esque gobshite coming in and doing it. I accept we'd take any manager bar Ferguson (not that he'd want to come here) to win us a league title at the moment but to me it would be extra special if it was Kenny managing us to it.
i totally agree with what lucaaas says and i would really love it if we won the title with kenny in charge,believe you me that would be so special.
