this is one i've been looking forward to. why? The usual idiots press questions about how the rolls Royce rich club fares in the slums. We've had that on numerous cup games over the past 7 years, like as if de klopper was not a journeyman lower league german player. We will I think enjoy it.
Alisson Trent Konate VVD Tsimikas Szoboszlai Macallister Gravenberch Salah Nunez Jota Anyone see it differently? Elliott, Jones, gakpo, matip, gomez, endo, kelleher, quansah, another child. Without Diaz and Robertson the team really picks itself IMO
Diaz's Father situation is still rumbling on. It seems colloquially that some suspects have been identified and now a regional perhaps. This is a very dangerous situation at this point where these guys have little to lose.
Would be the obvious team what with gakpo just coming back from injury. With Toulouse away on Thursday can then rotate for that before Brentford and the next international break. It’s then we’ll hopefully have everyone back fit and ready to go for city

we have some news https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-67300987 it seems lius diaz's father is being held by rebels not petty criminals so there's more hope of a negotiated settlement and hopefully a lot less chance of the worst outcome. let's hope this ends quickly with a settlement for whatever it is this lot wants
CHRIS SUTTON'S PREDICTION. Luton v Liverpool (16:30) Luton apparently don't get spanked at home - that's what Statman Dave tells me anyway. I am not convinced, because I remember when they played Tottenham at Kenilworth Road at the start of October, and Spurs could have been about 4-0 up in the first 15 minutes. To be fair to the Hatters, they are making the best fist of life in the top flight out of all the promoted teams, but I don't see them coping with Liverpool's array of attacking talent. Sutton's prediction: 0-3 Willie's prediction: Liverpool will win but Luton have had something about them whenever I've seen them this season, even when they've lost, so this won't be just one-sided. I feel like they will get a big result at home against a big team soon... but maybe not this weekend. 0-2 JONES KNOWS BEST...HAS GONE FOR AWAY WIN. 1:3 Luton vs Liverpool, Sunday 4.30pm, live on Sky Sports - please log in to view this image Stream this game with NOW Watch free Premier League highlights Luton's corner lines at Kenilworth Road remain overflowing with value. Keep backing them. Rob Edwards knows his team must play for set pieces by getting the ball into opposition territory fast to create situations to win corners down the flanks or free-kicks by playing at a high tempo. At home, their corner count has been traditionally very healthy, averaging 7.4 corners per game at Kenilworth Road last season - a tally only bettered by West Brom in the Championship. The step up to the Premier League hasn't affected their output yet as they've won 31 corners across their four games against Wolves, West Ham, Burnley and Tottenham, winning seven or more in three of those games. Therefore, the 11/10 on offer for them to win four or more corners is rather juicy with five or more (9/4) and six or more (9/2) also worth noting as slices of value. Liverpool still haven't returned to their watertight best and that is seen through the number of corners they are offering up to the opposition. Allowing 45 corners against in their last seven matches equating to 6.4 per match, adding further weight behind Luton being able to land at least four corners at that odds-against price. SCORE PREDICTION: 1-3
with respect to the lad above, relying on a corner stat from the championship is rather pointless if Luton have 30% possession the corner count drops drastically. thinking Luton will get 4 is all well and good but they have to arrive to a players head as well.
Agree with this. Last season against Forest we struggled with their long throws and half the reason they had so many is because of how poor our midfield was, meaning they had more possession. Whereas last week we were so dominant that they only had about 2 long throws in dangerous areas, and we dealt with both.
give anyone 10 goes to get what they practiced right and chances are they will. give a lad 2 goes to hit our far post (Luton will) and maybe they get it wrong.
less good news. these terrorists/leftwing separatists have failed to release diaz's father suggesting either their leadership are not in control of an element or they can't release him.
terrorists release a statement that after verifying that it is diaz's father via a priest or some such apparently that he will be released as everyone loves Luiz.
Luis Diaz's father is set to be released by his kidnappers after he was verified as a family member of the Liverpool player, Colombian terrorist group Ejercito de Liberacion Nacional (ELN) has confirmed in a statement. Luis Diaz's father IS being released after he was verified as a family member of Liverpool star, Colombian terrorists ELN confirm in a statement: 'We want to avoid any incident' | Daily Mail Online
The article says the situation is nowhere near as straightforward as that headline suggests, as the central command of that group has little or no control over its regional units. Also, what sort of rebel group says: 'We want to avoid any incident' - isn't that what they're there for? I'd assumed they took him because he was Diaz's father, so why would finding that out make them release him?
