The back 3 looked really solid tonight. Nelson after a poor season has been playing well and Flint was really good as well.

    Deserved the win.

    On to the next one.

    Another workmanlike performance<applause>

Thought Pack had a really good game. Difference he brings is his ability to pass.

Roger had an off game - he’s entitled to one!

Also another good game for both Ng and Nelson.

We play the away specialists next.

Not Moore's finest game but as you say, he's allowed. Good though that we still have goals going in from others.
Yep. I don't know what to make of PNE this term, but I know a man who probably has a plan brewing already.

PNE are a bit of an enigma this season. Will be another tough game.

    They're all tough nin.
When players heads are up, its that tiny bit easier though.
    Players fighting for position now.

Just a thought, how many No 1 GKs have we had that have been injured / ill and failed to get back in over the last 6 or 7 years
Much of our recruitment can be scoffed at, but GK coaches have it right.

Moore and NG had their worst games for the club but others stepped up to the mark and we won it - that's the difference.

That back 3 is looking a pretty impressive move from Mick and sorting out Wilson was another.

Glad Watters had a run out and in all honesty the switch could have been made earlier such was Moore's poor form. Bacuna for Wilson was another shrewd move. He ran at Luton and made them back pedal - I liked that.

Although only a brief glimpse, I liked the look of Bagan playing on the left in front of Bennett. He's rangy and quick - another option for Mick.

Bit harsh on Ng but I suppose you caveated your comment by comparing last night to the other games he’s played in. He’s a good footballer who obviously has been coached well from young.
    Agree about Bagan.

It was quite noticeable that for a fair chunk of the closing stages we really tried to get in their faces quite high up the pitch, especially after Bacuna and Bagan came on.

Although overall I don't think there was an awful lot between the two teams, our new found ability to take chances when they come and then stand resolute thereafter is seeing us through games.
It must be said that it ended up being a fairly comfortable last 10 minutes last night.

No doubt had they managed to pull one back it would have been a lot trickier but the fact is we got heads, feet, bodies in the way of all that they threw at us.

Bournemouth have been on a bit of a wobble recently. Who knows, by the time we play them we may, with a bit of luck and a fair wind, be battling it out to go level with them or even to overtake them.....

Heady heights when all is considered.

Indeed, NG's "worst game" was in direct comparison to his previous outings for us. He's been a real acquisition and just the sort of young (but experienced) player we should be building the team around.

Got on the wrong side of his player a couple of times, but he's done everything that's been asked of him since he arrived and could even have scored last night with that left foot strike.

We were by far the better team.

Luton tried to match us physically and it wasnt going to work. Saying that a lot of these so called possession sides flatter to deceive as so many are not good enough in either box.

I dont agree Moore was poor either.

I thought he had his boots on the wrong feet. Can't fault his physical effort though. Their CB's knew they had been in a game.

The ref was weak. 2 nailed on pens first half, Morro and Murphy. Even the Sky pundits agreed ffs. That's a first.

Moore was poor on the night no question.

I worry sometimes that his judgement is clouded by the praise (deserved) his performances have received recently. He took the wrong option on a number of occasions last night when there were others better placed to score - Wilson was particularly pissed off at one point when he was free but ignored.

It's true that all our victories seem to come from low possession stats games - when we have a lot of the ball we invariably faff around at the back too much. Our problem seemed to be getting quality balls into the box enough. Having said that, both goals last night came from outside the box.
