I see there are ticketing problems with Luton's game at Telford on Sat 13 Aug. Apparently there is an English Defence League march planned in the town, so Telford have moved the kick off back to 19:45 and forced supporters to pick up their tickets on the day at a service station. It seems no-one will be allowed into the town for the march AND the football. Your comments are welcome.
So...what has it got to do with Luton Town F.C. ? Apart from spoiling the whole day for the fans of both clubs, and depriving Telford of probably the biggest gate for them during the season, the EDL sicko's are not affiliated in any way shape or form to Luton Town Football Club ! Your headline is totally misleading !
The leader goes to Luton games doesn't he? Caused some trouble with the club or something like that.....? Title is still misleading though, as you said.
What's the ERL? I'm wondering why a service station as the collection point for tickets - why not a police station?
25th July 2011 EDL founder Stephen Lennon guilty over football brawl: The founder of the English Defence League has been convicted of leading a brawl involving 100 football fans. Stephen Lennon, 28, led Luton Town supporters and chanted "EDL till I die", as they clashed with Newport County fans in Luton, a court heard. Lennon, from Luton, was found guilty of using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour on 24 August last year.
Misleading title ....... surely not! My post suggests that the "good name" of the town of Luton is suffering ......... again. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the English Defence League is based in Luton?
International? Ah - it was Newport in Wales! Silly me, I thought L*t*n had been promoted to the Wessex League and were playing Newport IOW
I think these videos sum up the EDL quite well. I am not racist, but they very funny!! Most of them are drunks who have not got a clue.
