Looking back at our last 3 fixtures with Luton, Leeds and the upcoming game vs PNE makes me wonder about the plan going into these three vital matches when we only needed 3 (?) points to seal the deal for the play-offs out of those 3 games, but we still have one last chance tomorrow. About 5 or 6 games ago I was trying to see what certain scenarios might offer us based on the W-D-L column. When I got to the last 3 matches it became exactly what my predictions had said, which were a point at Luton, a thrashing at Leeds followed by a major squeaky arse fixture tomorrow. Our previous 2 opponents clearly wanted the points considerably more than us which was evident by the lack of showing that they actually cared a toss.

Preston could be another howler as they can still get relegated if they lose which means they have a point to prove to Heckingbottom who will be sitting out in the seats due to a disciplinary issue. I truly think we are the underdogs in this one based on our endless trait of either giving it away late in the game or making appalling mistakes at the back to gift goals to our opponents. We are more than capable of winning this game and although I am positive the crowd will be baying for blood it can't be won by the supporters alone. Every single player heading for a good night's sleep as I write needs to get their head around how important this single 90+ minutes is in the history of Bristol City. The supporters who have followed you through thick and thin deserve a chance at glory too and at 12:30 tomorrow your commitment to them and your football club could seal the deal to the play-offs. That's it, so night night sleep well and get yourselves down to Ashton Gate after breakfast and give everyone a day to remember for a long time. <party><party>
