I have been asked to post the following:

The fourth public meeting of the Trust will take place this coming Thursday evening at 7.30pm in the function room at Old White Hart, Town Street, Beeston.

All Leeds fans are welcome to attend.

The meeting will also be live on Ustream (audio only to protect the innocent), Twitter and Facebook. Links to all three and more information about LUST is available here:

Welcome Cozer. :) Just please never use that horrible Comic Sans script again, or I'll have to top myself!

Wonder what will be discussed on Thursday night. The Trust have been forced into an awkward corner since the Warnock appointment, and there's not much protesting they can do after their pledge to keep it schtum until at least the end of the season. I still think the Trust could be a powerful way to recapture some atmosphere at Elland Road, so I hope there's some suggestion that they substantiate their promise to support the team towards promotion by maybe getting some flags put together for the remaining home games, or at least doing something material.

The political and investment angles on Bates pressure still rumble on, but it doesn't look like there have been major developments. Generally though, I can't think of too much that will be on the agenda for LUST, which is a shame.

The free membership vs paid shareholding discussion needs to be had before next season starts. I hope there's free membership forever, but there needs to be more leafletting around Elland Road to get the message out there. We CAN become the biggest Trust in English football. :)

    Happy to do it.

Frankly, LUST is the only group trying to represent our best interests right now.

They deserve a chance to partipate in getting us back to a place of excellence in all respects in English football, including, and not least, in the ownership and chairman's office.

    Hello Everybody,
Can I just point out that I am only a share holder of Leeds United Supporter Trust but very much believe in what their doing, that's giving a voice to us LU supporters. Since Ken Bates took over the club we have being down trodden and lied to by the club, charged over inflated ticket prices and treated with disrespect. L.U.S.T. are giving us a voice. Please take 5 minutes to look at http://lufctrust.squarespace.com/ If you would like that voice to grow please become a member.
membership if free. I'm sure Gary Cooper will be introducing himself to you all pretty soon he'll post as Billyisgod. (Look forward to a bit of banter in the future)

It's the kind of font that a history teacher would use to try get down with the kids so they don't fall asleep during a particularly boring Powerpoint presentation on the Norman Invasion. Like some graphic design geek has gone "people are stupid, right? They like handwriting and stuff, rather than actual neat-looking scripts? Hey, let's make an adorable kiddy-scrawl font to condescendingly pat them on the head and serve their need to look a bit thick."

No offence to Comic Sans users, but you've been used. Arial is the best font. <ok>

Oh God, you're going to taunt me with this forever, aren't you?

<ok> Well remembered. Hopefully there'll be plenty of that for the Leicester game. A few 'LUST' banners in the away ends next season (where the stewards are less inclined to check fire safety certificates and so on) should be good as well. As long as there's not apathy and silence from the Trust, because that's certainly the way the rest of the fanbase has been heading for some time.

I heard about that. 'Same old Millwall - same old song', or something like that?

If you get the banner out in the middle of the stand, it should be fine. I'm pretty sure the Trust could get a fire safety certificate knocked up anyway, and show it to the away ground's safety officer before the game. Would be good if they showed it for a televized game.

Might make it to the Old White Hart myself, I fancy a beer or two.

Loking forward to next steps ideas from LUST. The more that they come up with proposals for the way forward that are concrete, the better. Leaflets (especially if they have a new song printed on them that everyone can sing during the game) are a good idea, linked the TSB.

If it is just protests, Bates will use the opportunity to say there is still nothing being added.

Latest ticket prices for Watford fans at LUFC this weekend versus prices for Leeds fans at Reading and Blackpool make interesting reading - we charge another 50% on top! No wonder there is little atmosphere, and no wonder Bates and his cronies are losing money and only have 20000 people at ER each home game.

Reduce our season ticket and matchday prices by a third and get 27k to 35k each match. With people willing to then spend money inside ER and in the bars etc. Especially on their kids.

If people think they are getting value for money, there would only be 10% of the people currently anti-Bates making any noise. LUST can be a force for good for both LUFC and bates - it's just that Bates can't see past his spiteful nose. He's a cock.
