What the hell happened to them? They started the season great and were on verge of the route to succsess. Chery was "the signing of the year" and was scoring almost for fun. Then suddenly they both got minor injuries and ramsey get sacked(thank you) and sandro&fer get their chances. Now they both are hardly mentioned when talking about team selections. I believe we need Chery because he is the most attacking minded midfielder we have now when we cant play strikers for the full 90 min.
I agree . Really shocked how Chery went from hero to zero . Loungo is good but no where near as good as chery going forward imo , it's bad man management all around I'm afraid , now we dnt even start with a forward at all .... What a shower of ****e
With a new manager, I would imagine JFH will want to see all the players at some point to make up his own mind who will stay or go come the summer. Maybe these two haven't shown the new gaffer enough hence the reason for their non-selection - if so then maybe they need to prove they are worth a shout.
Agree regarding Chery, but he is one you would hope is the type of player JFH will get the best out of given time ??
I thought Saturday's game was crying out for Chery but the sub never happened. We did so very nearly nick at the end. Move on.
Sorry chaps - Don't understand this. We have a new manager who has had one match so far. He has a squad of 25 and can only play 11 at any one time. The current eleven have stopped leaking goals and managed to start nicking results. I suppose nothing short of thrashing Burnley would satisfy everyone. Oh to be a football manager. Can we try to show to show a bit more patience. I am waiting for the first calls for Hasslebaink to be sacked. One thing is absolutely certain. They will come soon enough.
No. My question about chery&luongo meant a lot longer period than just JFH:s first match. They havent played properly for a two month or so.....
I take your point but it seemed very odd to me for any football manager regardless of tactics to play the world's most limited footballer at right wing and the right winger up front. The midfield still looks desperately short of legs and/or fitness which isn't much of a surprise when Faurlin and Sandro have two knees between them, Hoilett runs around in circles with or without the ball and Fer can't stop laughing that two English clubs paid £8m for him. We have plenty of young players to build a team around which I hope JFH will look to do once he's had a proper look or we'll end up losing them.
Not really just starting with something near a team that has players playing in there correct position would be a start ?
Luongo looks a decent player but I don't think his attempts to establish himself are helped by having to fly to Australia and elsewhere every international break. Of course we would have known this would be the case when we signed him. Wouldn't we?
Your right that Luongo isn't as good as Chery going forward but because Luongo has played most the time for us playing out of position behind a striker I think most Rangers fans are confused about his role. If Sat's new formation was JFH's regular system then Luongo instead of Henry would add far more balance with Luongo in a more natural position doing both sides of the game. The fluffed chance summed up why Henry can't play there and you definitely can't rely on him for creativity. Also after they dropped Vokes onto Faurlin we were ****ed because Sandro and Henry can't get us going forward. Luongo can and has a good balance of defensive side plus lots of energy. Chery's attitude is summed up by being only player who played at Boro at JFH's first training session. He has end product. Hoilett even when in relatively good form creates and scores nothing. Always good comedy value though like when he dribbled off on Sat Hope JFH is less negative tonight and balances side out with those 2
Whilst I've been impressed by Hoilett's recent form and I thought that Henry had one of his better games on Saturday, I think swapping them for Chery and Luongo is a good call, although would I have the courage to do so against the unbeaten league leaders....?
i dont think either will get a look in because the fourlin ,sandro and fer partnership looks water tight, its probabley the best in this division gow can you improve it
well fer is a full dutch international worth eight million pounds he is a players who bonds the team together hes a bonder i think we might well sell both fer and sandro in the transfer window and probabley buy jorden rhodes then we will go up through the play offs
We paid £8m. I'm yet to see anything to suggest he's worth that. He's playing in his preferred position now against what are meant to be inferior players and not offering much IMO
