They'll soon change their tune if he bangs in a few. The New York franchise doesn't start until next March so he may choose to keep in trim with another club and we're in with a chance. The downside is if he proved successful he'd be a big miss in the final couple of months of the season...

I am sure he's a good players and could still play another good season but I sincerely doubt how much he'll care about QPR after coming from a team that has been where Chelsea have over the last x amount of years. After the last few seasons, I can't feel that this can be good.

Hasn't he signed in the US but could still join on loan?

He won't give a **** about us though.

Signing for the new New York franchise, same as David Villa.

What a waste!! He doesn't need the money and he could certainly play another season or two in the Premier League imo.

He could, but I can't pretend I will be happy to see the back of him. Far too Chelsea, and very few ex-Chelsea people have come to QPR and done a proper job...

Don't Man City own New York City FC? He will sign for New York and then be loaned to Man City until NY recall him. Probably.

Much as it pains me to say it, he strikes me as a model professional, who will try his very best at all times, whether he's playing for Chelsea or Chesterfield.

They dont "own" the club , they are in partnership with the N.Y. Yankees.

Oh OK mate, my mistake. If Man City are in a partnership with the Yankees then aren't New York City FC the expansion football team of the Yankees and therefore a partnership of them?

    More than you realise Willy.

In addition to David Webb as mentioned above

    Terry Venables
    Ray Wilkins
    Steve Wicks
    Paul Furlong
    Clive Wilson
    Mike Fillery
    Roy Wegerle
    John Hollins
    Barry Bridges
    Michael Mancienne (on loan)

off the top of my head, and of course Dave Sexton as manager.

Far too 'Chelsea' for me. Seeing him trot out in the Hoops doing it solely for the cash would turn my stomach.

There has to be a line somewhere. Lampard defines that line for me
