Whatever our views on this situation Plymouth Argyle need a Goal keeper.

Brent & Sheridan are giving Luke a chance...

    I say good for them..

Trouble is we have all talked about what happened before and left it.

Now its all the talk again, poor family.. I do not agree with Him returning, yes he is a footballer but why here?

I know you read ATD plym and that was a suggestion on there. Brent signs McCormick to divert attention away from the stand proposals. However I don't agree with that for several reasons. Most important one is that Sheridan would not stand for a player being signed he didn't want as a tool to shut the supporters up over something else.

It is the talk of the Town today that's for sure. It seems to me it is a 50/50 split and I must admit to having some sympathy for both camps. On the one hand I don't think the player is the equivalent of the Yorkshire Ripper and do think he is probably a very nice person who made a mamoth mistake. A mistake that loads could have made but never got caught. He has done his time according to the law of the land and should now be able to get a job. Not being able to work is not a possibility for others some why single him out. Problem is his job is in a high profile one and the publicity is bound to be more than in many others. The other problem is that he is now employed by the same club he was at when the crime was committed. The supporters won't be able to cheer him in the same way and those that do might have problems from the ones that think it shouldn't happen. Away fans will have a field day. Ours would probably do it to another club so why expect different here. The family probably hate him and would wherever he went but for him to be back in our fold might seem the worst outcome. I'm in the no thanks camp solely on the family he helped to destroy reason. You can't undo what happened and I know if it was my kids he killed I could never forgive him no matter what. Talk about a support splitter.

Sums it up pretty well Sensible apart from one thing, talk of the town? Things must have changed dramatically since I was last back. I would have thought talk of the town would have been the retirement of our most successful manager ever, Moyes coming in and the possible departure of Shrek. Maybe 10% discussing what was going on with that rubbish Argyle team the other 90% worried about the "proper" team they have followed all their lives. The plastics must be in meltdown at the moment, loving it <laugh>

sorry state of affairs all round, unfortunately this will split the fan base which isn't good for the club, especially when season ticket holders are threatening to hand back their tickets. I do feel for Luke but I feel much more for the Peak family. Unfortunately turning back the clock isn't an option.

I think that's just bluster Mrs lalala. If you had already paid £300 for a ticket for next season would you just rip it up? I wouldn't and I doubt any others would either. Gesture banner waving whilst putting a point over on a website. Give it a week and it will be the equivalent of chip paper with most. If he has signed a contract then he is signed and all the gesturing in the world won't change that. I wish he hadn't, I've said my piece on it and I will be in the ground next season as usual.

It really is not his fault though Sensible fate dealt him a bad hand. If his Granny had not once met a woman, who bought a dog from the postman, who delivered letters to the butcher, whose pencil suppliers Great Aunt 3 times removed second cousin, knew a man who knew a man who grew up near George Bests bookies mate..... he would not have been forced into supporting them and having to fork out for sky, lazyboy recliner and a replica shirt every year.

I'll be buying mine in the not too distant future BC. I'm a glutton for punishment.

I almost feel sorry for the neighbour now mexijan the way you put it. Almost but I still want to hear him sob uncontrolably when his mighty local team MU get relegated to division one in 2 years time. Especially when Argyle pass them going the other way. Mind you did you see our efforts at predictions last season.
