I never had the chance to see Luke Freeman play for us during his brief time in the first team squad but read the glowing reviews about our youngest first team player ever etc. Then came the 'big' move to Arsenal and their great youth policy. With the subsequent loans and then move to Stevenage I was always intrigued to see how he has come on. I watched Tranmere vs Stevenage today and was very impressed by him, the Free Kick was well struck and I think he controlled the midfield very well (for a player in a losing team). At 21 I believe he has very good future ahead of him.
I am disappointed that he has ended up at Stevenage and I don't think he has done as well as I would have expected this season as he has been on the bench a lot. I still think he can be a good player and it is a shame we let him go early as I have a feeling he would be doing better now if he had stayed with us.
