Here's an interesting interview with Luke Freeman in The Independent ... https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...inal-weekend-efl-table-fixtures-a8896946.html
I cant blame any player for wanting to play at as high a standard possible and for a club that has upwardly ambitions. We are not that club!
"We have had so many letters from the referees association [PGMOL] apologising for decisions. I think we have had eight letters apologising for decisions that have cost us a point or three. If in six or seven of those games you pick up a point, then we are nowhere near the bottom six. Then you’re mid-table, looking up rather than down. But that’s how it goes.” That is just infuriating!!!!
if we could get 6 or 7 mill for him it would be good business Interesting comments about Mclaren and apologies for late decisions. I still think McLaren as a coach rather than manager.....but he's gone.
Freeman says he cannot remember such a run of continuous bad luck... all I can say is welcome to QPR!!! I still keep hoping what goes around comes around...and another season we will get all the decisions....or are we still payoff the OBZ monent Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
I hope and think we are still a Club with upward ambitions. FFP makes it difficult but not impossible, Norwich, Sheffield United and Bristol City have shown that this season. I hope we try and keep Freeman until at least January and at least hold off an evaluation till then of whether we can gamble on a promotion, or need to cash in. Freeman may be wanted by low table PL Clubs to fill their squads but he may not get enough games to keep him happy. I wonder how much Smithies has enjoyed his season at Cardiff , perhaps only when he looks at his bank balance.
No, it’s bad reffing. Just like it’s not bad luck if a player hits the post, it’s a not quite good enough shot. As for bad reffing happening to us multiple times, that’s not bad luck either. It’s just a coincidence.
Just read Chair's Manager has said Chair is the best football player who has ever played for Stevenage, and probably the best who has ever played in League 2. Let's hope he'll make a good replacement for Freeman, but it will be a huge step up for him. Really hope we can keep Freeman to at least January so Chair can be eased into the role more gradually.
