John Joe fought a cracking fight. Gutted for Paddy, thought he'd done enough.

Agree on both counts. Five Live thought that Barnes had it.

Tonight's going to be fantastic - wouldn't like to predict the outcome though

****ty way to lose, a smelly countback. 15-15 against the world champ is no bad thing though.

45-44 on countback. **** way to lose but not as bad as the score 4 years ago. That was a joke.

When they announced it was countback I was sure he had to have done enough.

Luke Campbell would have been my favourite to win it from the start. Really classy boxer and to be honest John joe is better than I thought he was. That was a great showing. Campbell is going to be under all kinds of pressure to perform....I think it will be close.

I just wish LOCOG hadf had the good sense not to sell all the tickets to Irish people and then Campbell might have more support tonight. Nah, it's been absolute class in there and particularly good yesterday when both sets of fans roared on Nicola Adams and Katie taylor.

    They did with Joshua.

Not with Stalker or Marshall though. Which is surprising.

I'd say in all the events the close or controversial calls have been about 50/50 in our favour. Three dodgy ones in the velodrome for instance and we lost 2 of them 9we could ahve lost all 3 of course). The rowing where we got silver because they called the race back was questionable and as you say Joshua in the boxing. On the other hand I'm absolutely convinced that had Louis Smith been American or Chinese in his home olympics he would have got gold against the Hungarian in the pommel horse

I don't know if other sports are nobbled or not but in boxing Paddy barnes didn't get a point 4 years ago against the Chinese guy. In terms of rough decisions in boxing I would have expected GB to have got a couple more.
