    Discussed here

    http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/209094-Summer-Rumours?

Consensus is I think that it was tragic for everyone concerned. McCormick has done his time but although he may take up playing again, not at PAFC thanks very much. Much too raw and, having sacked him at the time, not something the club should get close to again.

PAFC deny that they have been in talks with McCormick.

Probably better off he never came back, would save a lot of unwanted problems but someone will snap him up and end up in the Premiership one day no doubt...lol.

I think we have had this discussion more than once already and the general concensus is that it's no thanks. I know he's done his time and so on but I don't think the move would be good for Argyle or the man himself. He would be bound to attract the unsavoury chants from away supporters far more here than elsewhere and along with the publicity. He was given an easy ride from Argyle fans when he came here with Oxford and rightly so in my opinion. He wouldn't get that elsewhere if he played for us. You can't just change history and it is sadly there forever with him.

Yes I agree Luke should stay away for everyones sake.......it is unfortunate that his prison record will stop him from trying his luck in N America......but there might be other countries that would allow him in.

Maybe Australia a criminal record used to be a prerequisite. Anywhere in the EU should not be an issue, think it would be best for all concerned.

Just had this drawn to my attention by somebody in the office. I felt compelled to have a quick trawl through Pasoti and ATD and I think it's fair to say there are mixed opinions there in 24 pages on the former and 2 on the latter....

Bad decision by the club and McCormick himself I think: I have no objection earning a living doing the only thing he probably knows how to do, just not at PAFC where the controversy is just going to be increased ten fold around club & player.

In reality the fact he played here before is a mute point, personnel have completely changed from when he was dismissed so it is no different from him signing for any other club however that will be missed by most. If you read the BBC report it is more focused on the accident and his dismissal at the time, not sure why they feel compelled to focus on it so much it cannot be good for the family survivors.
Nice to see honesty and clarity coming from the club on this.... everyone was denying it a few days ago pretty poor especially with such an emotive issue.

I echo notdistant's sentiments on this. Somewhere but not here. The personnel may have changed in the dressing room but not on the terraces mexijan. I've read a load of comments on this as well and it splits the supporters down the middle it seems. It seems wrong to cheer him and the away supporters will have a field day with this.

It will bring focus to the club but for all the wrong reasons. Wotton signed for another year but that has been lost amongst this. He will also be working with the youth team which is a good thing for me no-one better qualified to get across what it should mean to pull on that green shirt and what hard work can bring you.

I agree with you all, its a bad decision.
But what can we do? nothing, we have to get on with it and support the team. I wonder how some of the other players feel about it?

The children's family are the ones who suffer the most in this, reading it all again in the press and online.. i know how i would feel?

Glad Wotton has signed for another year, he may not get as many games but he is good for the club..

It's boring with no football or predictions, but i will think there is plenty to talk about in the coming months, let,s hope its all good.

Luke McCormick is the only goalkeeper that Sheridan has at present .......Cole has yet to sign........the other two he doesn't want.
