Hope he celebrates in front of the Pompey fans, arms aloft... gets to shouting distance and simply shouts... ''your club will be dead, and the south coast will be 100% RED''
Isn't it funny that all the Solent related hatred on this site is from Southampton fans towards Portsmouth, not vice versa.
I am sure you have read the comments reference Southampton from the Scandanavian Skate who now plays for Birmingham. This guy is born and bred in Hampshire's finest city and has always been a Saints fan. The Scandanavian Skate on the other hand has been infected by the big green monster that eats away at every PFC fan's heart.
You have got to be joking mush, i have just been on the News site without posting. Really nasty barstewards.
The quality of debate - and yes banter - on this site & the pompey site is now so poor I do not think I will bother anymore. I have twice dipped into the Portsmouth Evening News site & have come to the conclusion that a large percentage on the subscribers are seriously demented. Noting the times etc of the threads I can also only conclude that most do not work.
You might have noticed the status of a certain individual had changed before there was even one post in reply. Hopefully the tone of this site will be a bit higher for a while. Let's all stay classy.
I'm not one to call for people to be banned, but I'm really rather glad you mods did that CF. Your collective finger is on the pulse, as always.
Lol too busy slagging each other off on The News site, don't worry you will do for a token blue until the good times return, then we can get down to some serious slagging, you must admit it mostly one individual on here keeping up the worst of the rhetoric, no names.
Thank you mods for dealing with that individual whose posts let down the vast majority of decent supporters of this site.
Feel a bit sorry for Lukas. He'd quite obviously love to play for his home town, but almost certainly now won't get the chance unless he improves distinctly, and then the timing would have to be right, in any case. I think the closest he came to an opportunity to do so passed him by in January.
Did opportunity ever knock (those of a certain pedigree will get this one)? Did Adkins seriously consider this lad when he signed Sharp? Another question is why wasn't he a member of our academy? Another day without a game to discuss ... It's interesting that the original article simply states that he will enjoy it more as he is a Saints fan. A few years back there was a piece about McGoldrick looking forward to playing Forest as he is a Notts Co fan; if we play at Goodison next year, a win will be sweeter for Rickie if the rumours that he is a Red are true and so on. The lad who scored against us at Fratton this year is a Pompey fan. How good must that have been for him. It is just a few posters move these benign facts into vitriol, PompeyLapras. Freud would doubtless wish to examine genitalia at this point. As for the game, I'd be happy with a draw and the way Boro are playing so might they be!
We might never know. The probabilities are that Adkins never considered Lukas, but there was a lot of media speculation about him possibly making a move to Saints. Yes he was at the Saints academy early on, but left after three years.
My 'Southampton fans' comment was basically referring to redandwhitecomrade and Lord Duckhunter on this site, not anyone else nor the News which I agree there often seems to be hatred between Portsmouth and Southampton (going both ways, however). Both Jutkiewicz's and Huskelep's comments are understanding and seem to be nothing more than just a bit of local rivalry banter between Southampton and Portsmouth. While Huskelep wasn't born in Portsmouth, it's understandable that he would have an affinity with Portsmouth, especially if he had long wished to play in English football (I dunno if he had)
Was there some deep significance in England dumping the blue and going for the red on their kit last night? I think there will be a lot of people on a little island in South East Hampshire dumping the blue and going for the red as well quite soon.
