Gutted to see that we dont seem to be linked with him more heavily; too good a talent to let slip through our fingers. i think we should let berba, diouf and possibly macheda go and bring him in. Anyone else agree ???
Was in Belgium five weeks back....they're crazy about him over there, all the shops have his name on Anderlect and belgium shirts, even more than Hazard who is another terrific talent. Seen him a few times, and he will adapt to the PL quickly. Lukaku is obsessed with Drogba though, so I think it's inevitable he will join Chelsea sooner rather than later.
Yh he probably will; i believe if we put a bid together though he'd struggle to turn it down, heard from some reports on him that he's quite a smart lad and surely anyone with any sense would see that playing for the current champions with a stable management team makes more sense than going to the club who go through more managers than most people do shoes and who's owner is constsntly interupting goings on within the club
Yeah but he probably looks at Utd and see he'd have to get past an in-form Hernandez and Rooney, and possibly Berba, to get in the team. He then looks at Chelsea and sees Drogba and Anelka probably leaving so all he has to do is get past a broken Torres and Kalou in order to get in the first team. His style of play also seems to suit Chelsea more than us. And the chavs will probably offer him more money. We were linked with him and made enquires in December, but nothing materialised and it looks like he's now set his heart on Chelsea. Guess you can't win them all.
I think he is quite overrated to be honest. He plays in a poor league and is highly rated because he has a decent scoring record against very poor teams. He may be able to adapt to the prem but I dont think he will be as good in the future as people think
Ok Diouf definitely go, and Macheda on loan. But Berba?! The top scorer in the league and you want to get rid of him to accomodate an untested youngster? Yes, Lukaku could turn out to be a brilliant signing, but to replace an experienced striker for an untried youngster is an idiotic idea. We don't need a new striker, so buying him would use up funds that could be better spent on other positions.
