Good signing for you. Seems Jose has lost the plot letting him go, the guy has more quality and energy than his other strikers

Purley, my comments were from a neutral, and I wasn't comparing him with Drogba

I think Everton have bought a proven player, and whilst Drogba was superb when he was in the mood for playing, the Drogba who now returns to Chelski is considerably older and more injury prone. And Drogba had to be in the mood for playing, if he wasnt psyched up, he was dreadful, constantly bitching at the referee, and acting peevish. If I remember correctly, if anyone touched Drogba, he would claim a back injury, yet if he scored a goal, that "fragile" back could support both Lampard & Terry.

I personally feel he wasn't ready to be our No. 1 striker, he is 21 and there were facets of his game that needed improving before he could be trusted as the main man in big games like in the the CL and whatnot.

However, we still have a striker at our club who is ****ter and older, and if we were going to ditch any of our forward line it should have been El Burro, and not Lukaku, but never mind.
Good luck to the lad, hope he does well (against our rivals :p)

    Just paying devils advocate,

If you had £28m to spend, as much as Lukaku did well for you last season, do you not think it may have been spent better a bit more spread out in other areas?

I still think you guys need another CM and a winger as well. Barry/Barkley/McCarthy are decent, but beyond that, there doesn't seem to be much? Again, Miralles is a good player, but Pinaer seems to have gone off the boil and I'm not aware of any one else you have?

Does seem you've pinned all your attacking threat on Lukaku, Barkley, Miralles. An injury to one of them could be a big issue?

Great signing for the blues, can't believe Jose got rid of him instead of Torres.

That argument doesn't make any sense!

If they are currently pinning all their attacking threat on three players, how would it have helped Everton if they'd bought a CM and winger instead of Lukaku, and thus pinned all their attacking threat on two players?!

It's also an argument you could make for any smaller club without the budget to buy every player they want. Why did Liverpool spend £20m on another CB when you are pinning all your attacking threat on Sturridge and Lambert? An injury to one of those two could be an even bigger issue now Bitey's gone.
