Lukaku plus £20 million for Modric - done deal!

Lukaku would fit in very nicely with Ade up front, and what with Rasmus Elm having signed a deal to join us in the Summer, I dare say that we could learn to live without Moddy (as much as it would hurt, initially).

PLUS, WE'D STILL HAVE £20 MILLION TO SPEND!

I can't see any losers in this deal.

 

What do we actually know about this Rasmus Elm? Could he fill the rather large hole after Modric goes?

Also - this would lead to a change in formation I suppose - or would you be wanting VdV to switch out for Lukaku?

We're the losers. The only reason the front three are so effective is the constant recycling of possession from Modric and Parker. They are the beating heart of the team.

 

So this ISN'T another attempt to start a rumour and see if it makes its way, via a blog that Newsnow lists, via the BBC gossip column, into the sports pages of the tabloids? Cos that's what it looks like to me.

They are rumours for a reason..infact it is glaringly obvious that they are made up.....so obvious that there is an article dedicated to the fact that a rumour will be made up in order to see if people buy it....i dont understand why it would bother anyone ...unless of course they are intrested....rumour,banter...you know!

 

So after knocking back £40m over the summer we now go and accept £20m plus a kid that cost less than £20m.

What would Levy do?

 

Lukaku is one of the biggest prospects in Europe, has been for over a year at just 18! I don't know if Levy would in fact accept this offer but I do hope we don't make it! I want to keep Lukaku, he needs a loan spell, as good as Modric is - we shouldn't be offering young talent (which we lack in!) for him .

 

I encourage these baseless rumours out of sheer spite, by the way.

 

Things are finely balanced, an upset could see you fall quickly as losing only 2 games now could see you fall 3 or 4 places, if I was a spurs fan I would want nothing changed until at least the summer with regards to the midfield.
