http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/mar/26/everton-romelu-lukaku-champions-league He ain't getting it at Chelsea or Liverpool, unlikely to get it at United. Doubt Pep would want him. Spurs don't need him if they can keep Kane. Arsenal would have to break their transfer record. Where can he go? Psg? Bayern?
"Spurs don't need him if they can keep Kane." Him in the Spurs squad with Kane would be great over a long season.
Ibrahimovic is probably leaving PSG, so they'll be looking for a high-profile replacement. City will need to sign somebody to replace Bony and the hole that their other strikers leaving has left. Benzema might be in jail soon, I guess. Wenger might finally buy an upgrade on Giroud? There does seem to be a small crossover between sides that would be improved by Lukaku and those that fulfil his criteria. Being in the Champions League and being able to afford his fee and wages? Not a lot of teams, really.
At the minimum, a PL club who qualifies for the CL would only have to match his current wages (assuming he does not mean the standard 'I want HIGHER wages AND CL football) .
His old man has suggested his destination should be United. Which ignores 2 things; 1. They might not get CL football for next season 2. Mourinho - who blew him out of Chelsea. Bayern if they move of Lewandowski is a possibility. PSG maybe.
I want to play for Wolves, not going to happen is it. Anything CFC wants to add to his dreadful thread? PS the Guardian paper is for loony leftwing gayers called Nigel
... it was lost in translation ... what Lukaku actually said was "I want lots of money" ... as such, don't be surprised if he actually goes to a team not in the CL next season ...
By the end of the season Lukaku is likely to have scored more PL goals in 1 year than Berahino has in his entire career
That's what "I'd like to play in the CL" means in footballese. There are a number of similar phrases that people should probably know. "I'm going to wait until the end of the season to discuss my contract", means that they're going to piss off, no matter what happens. "They're a very attractive club in a strong league", means that they've offered the longest contract on the most money. "They were my boyhood club and I've always wanted to play for them", means that they just signed a contract and need an excuse to **** off. "I never dive", is just a lie.
