Completely hypothetical question, and one that could be applied to John Terry, but would you want Luis Suarez in the team? He's a fantastic footballer with an excellent scoring record at club and international level but he is also quite clearly a nasty chap who is publicly engineering a move away from LFC. For all the negativity that comes with him the team will get 15+ goals at-least and a more potent attacking threat. Is the success of a club more important than adhering to sporting values?
A question worth asking. Considering Suarez stuck his middle fingers up at the Fulham fans when we played Liverpool, it would be a big no from me. An immense talent for sure but the clubs identity for me is more important.
I think his antics of cheating, diving and rolling about as if he is seriously injured would irritate me too much, that I'd become disillusioned with football if I thought that was how we had to play to win games.
He is a player I can't stand. I admit he has abilitly but he is an unashamed cheat and has no idea of the concept of sportsmanship. I'd be embarassed by my antics if I were him but he doesn't seem to care. We don't need players like him so a definite NO from me.
