He is our goal scorer, we just need others to chip in.

Luis Suarez declared himself 'very happy' after scoring all four goals in a 4-0 win over Chile to help Uruguay stay top of the South American World Cup qualifying group.

Our No.7 became the first player to fire four in a CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier since Brazil's Romario in October 2000.

He hit two in three minutes just before the break, including a stunning low drill with his left foot from 25 yards.

Two more followed after half-time before Suarez went home with the match ball.

He then posted on Facebook: "What a great game! Very happy with the win and the four goals.

"This is a very important step for the classification. Thanks to my teammates and everyone for the support they always give me! Hugs to all!"

Suarez scored four goals several times for former club Ajax but had never done so for his country.

Oh c'mon! No you don't! Your talking 'Proven', we're talking 'World class'. If you honestly believe this player isn't world class then there is something seriously wrong with you. I'm sorry, I'm usually somewhat calm but after his sensational performances you can't consider him NOT world class! Javier from United is labelled from by their supporters as "World class", don't see you say anything about that?

Its also rich coming from an Arsenal fan. Who is world class, really? In your 'World'?

    Andrei "Inconsistent" Arshavin
Fernando "Can't score to save his life" Torres

So two or three seasons of pure brilliance you want? Does that mean Cristiano Ronaldo who had seemingly one brilliant season at United isn't/wasn't World class? (After that one season, not talking about now)

A harsh post but your "2-3 seasons = World class" point is flawed.

I would say any player who is classed as "sensational," is also at that point in time "World Class," because there isn't that many sensational players in the world.

How can Suarez " NOT " be world class. If some manager was pickin a world squad of 23 tomorrow, hed be a cert to be in . I think it would be between him and David Villa for the team, in a front 3 with Messi n Ronaldo up front

You are seriously in danger of setting yourself up as the sole arbiter of the term 'worldclass'. As no agreed definition exists then your 2/3 years is merely one possiblity.

As for the comparison between Suarez and Villa then, at the present time, I would take Suarez over Villa as Suarez has time to get even better whereas Villa is probably at his peak - a fact thet even you conceede.

Why would we even need to mention Arsenal players as there are no 'worldclass' players there according to your own definition.

I have to say, I too consider Suarez world class. He's been one of the top performers in the premier league since he joined and he was player of the tournament in South America. He was also one of Uruguay's main men in the world cup with 3 goals and 2 assists plus 2 MOTM awards.

Exactly; he's proven himself with Ajax, he's proven himself on the world stage, on the South American stage and now everything can see what he's doing in the premier league - what else does he have to do to get classed as "world class."

Suarez is a better player than Van Persie, VP cant stay fit for more than a fortnight, and its took Suarez 4 less yrs to get where he is

I suppose he'd be already considered world class if he played for a flashy nation like Spain, Germany or Italy and had signed for a big foreign club like AC Milan or someone similar in the January transfer window.

The only thing I have to question is your rationale for your original post. Your opinion is quite rightly your own but why come on this board to voice it?

Personally I would not class van Persie as worldclass, purely for the same reason that I would not put Agger into that catagory - their prolonged appearances on the treatment table. However, I have seen nothing from the other 4 to even suggest that they have the potential to aspire to the level of worldclass.
