Morning all As Elland maybe still out of action today I am subbing again, but earlier as something on first thing. No news on the transfer front and indeed very very quiet. The only thing on the goalkeeper front has come from Noel Whelan who says he hopes we are going after Tom Heaton. The only problem with that Noel is that Dyche has 3 England keepers and Heaton is wearing the shirt at the moment as Joe Hart was rested and Tom Pope is the usual No2. Any one of these 3 would be good and even the Fabri story has gone quiet. Zuber thing is still a thing and Gomez thing is still saying hes going to Bilboa? Our U23s went back to the top of the league last night with a fantastic performance in what was dire conditions on a dire pitch. Liam Cooper came through 65 minutes unscathed, so not sure if he is fully fit yet or if this was part of his rehab. 2 goals from young Kun and a good goal from Robbie Gotts saw a 1-3 scoreline at a Windy Hull. Bielsa was there and will have seen some good performances and it was nice to see Ryan Edmondson leading the line and assisting Kun Lets hope a for a video at Thorp Arch today which shows our first signing
Morning Doc et al, What's the latest on Brown and Bamford as they weren't playing for the U23's are they both still crook or are they ging to be on the bench on Friday?
Good morning all Just want to say thank you to Doc for covering for Elland (who i wish a very speedy recovery) Got to say i am dissapointed so far in no keeper news,to me we are shipping to many goals. We need to shore up our defence which in my mind begins with the keeper,as a sound foundation leads to a strong building, most successful sides are built this way,i know we are doing it the Bielsa way,but our midfield/attack (which is not the most prolific in this division) just has to much to do at times.Something else that needs addressing in my mind is,as of late we also seem to be conceding very early, which also compounds the situation, whether it's a concentration thing or not i do not know. However we are top and must be doing something right, just need to make sure we stay their.
Good Morning to Doc and co from a sunny Bardsey I really think we are skint otherwise we would have signed a keeper by now heaven knows we need one Zubar has made it know according to the media he is not interested in joining us so all in all not a very exciting prospect I see that George Thorn has joined Luton from Derby I use to rate this lad a lot unfortunately he is injury prone and never fulfilled his potential I wish him well Rowett a manager who seemed destined to become a great one has been sacked by Stoke so Moyes will more than likely face us in 2 weeks Finally I wish Matt a very speedy recovery
Eric Izzy Brown would have played for the u23s last night but it was his birthday and his new baby daughter was also born yesterday so guess he was in no fit state. His health is good and he's fit just not match fit so Bielsa is keeping him until next month before unleashing him in the first team. Providing he doesnt break down. Bamford is nearly there again but will be next month before able to come back.
Phil Hay has just said the following: Leeds are looking for more than a keeper and a midfielder, which ties in with stories about a striker and a defender. 2 deals done yesterday were moving out Nessy to Hearts and Coyle extending his deal with Fleetwood. on top of last weeks loan deals of Wilks to Donny and Kitching to Harrogate. Phil reckons money is the stumbling block and frustrating deals which were close. Zuber apparently doesn't want to come to Leeds and Van Perra chose Boro because they were decisive? None of this is good news because Bielsa wanted players in fast as he needs to get them up to speed and if we wait until the end of the month, the season is over. So not good news if in fact true because it would mean that Eire and others are correct. Radz pull your finger out and get us some top players. We will never be as close as this in my opinion so need to make it happen now.
Morning all. Arent we lucky our owners a billionaire eh? Ever wonder why it takes us weeks to finalise a deal, others can do it in a couple of days. Anyway gotta keep hoping Bielsa can continue working his miracles for another 20 games or so as he likely wont get a whole lot of help from the board. If we make the PL we could still be shopping in aldi though regardless what cash there is in the pl
Good afternoon from manc services. Poor old rads is skint. Orta has blown all the money on stupid long contracts for dross players. A minimum of three players of a good standard are required. No brown and no bamford till february?? Aint it crap. One more injury to pablo or roofe and its goodbye top six never mind autos.
Unfortunately you are 100% correct. I don't believe for one minute that Bielsa's does not want any additions to the squad. The stumbling block is Radz lack of money. If we don't get autos we will not go up, Radz will try and sell the club and we will be stuck in the champs for the foreseeable future.
I don't think he would go,if he did the club would be ****** again, and the fans would never forgive Radz if it was down to lack of funding, his position would then be untenable,i am also sure that Bielsa would be aware of not just the potential, but also the limitations of the club when he signed the contract, and is working on the future as well as the present with what he has been given. That to me is what Attracted Bielsa to the challenge of managing this sleeping giant of a club,of which anyone else would surely fail & has.
**** me, anyone would think we were in a relegation dogfight with the Wallies, we're top of the ****ing league yer set of miserable bastards, buck up will ye
What employer ever tried to employ a quality member of staff and pointed out the limitations of the company at the interview stage. Like hell, theyd go to great lengths to portray as rosy a picture as possible. After all, this was a world class coach they were trying to convince, not a hecky hocky character
