It seems Cellino is going to have to work miracles to remain in English football. Two convictions and counting doesn't look great and we'll soon found out how dim a view the Football League take with regard to the latest conviction. As with the first, if the judge finds it was a dishonest act, a second ban will swiftly follow, and the judge happens to be the same one who nailed Cellino first time around. With two more serious cases against him - tax evasion for another yacht, and the more worrying corruption one surrounding the building of Cagliari's stadium - we could well be waving goodbye to Massimo and his little 'uns. Surely if he loses either of the upcoming cases it will be curtains for him with the FL. The swift appointment of Pearson seems to make more sense now, with Cellino clearly looking to protect his investment in Leeds United. With Pearson literally running the club, Cellino has a man in place who has a good relationship with the FL. The other key role Pearson will play no doubt will be in helping Cellino to sell the club if it is deemed a necessary outcome. It would not be a surprise if Cellino already has a potential buyer waiting in the wings to see how the Italian courts are going to rule. As always, never a dull moment at Leeds United. For me, I still can't find it in my heart to support Cellino, and would rather he leaves and we have dull but stable owners like those at the Arsenal. Leeds fans deserve stability and their club back in the Prem. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
As always Billy you talk sense and echo my thoughts exactly! There is more to Pearson being back than Cellino fancying a CEO to run his business that is for sure.
