    From Ian Dovaston (Sky)

"I'm told M O'Neill pulled out of a deal for Kevin Davies early today because the player went back to BWFC to ask for better deal."

So the player who "loves" Bolton couldn't just say no to us. He just had to use our approach to suck out some more cash from the employers he "adores"..
Well done MON for not going back.

    Interesting.

To be fair to the lad, I'm sure he's skint and living in poverty, he must milk the last year of his career...

Davies would have been a canny signing imo but with Bolton signing a new young lad for £3m, will he have much game time now?

If that's how he wishes to see out his career then I pity him.

I just hope Frazier can stay fit now and become the player we hoped he could 18 months ago.

Glad we did not sign him - massive step back IMO

Glad the 2 we brought in we loanees too - coz I don't rate either, though the left back has a chance to get his career back on track.

I think MON looks at players as pieces of a jig-saw puzzle that need to fit into the picture...He obviously saw something in Davies that made him think he would be one of those pieces that would fit...

Y'know, I'd have supported a deal with Kevin Davies. He could have got a good number of games between now and the end of his career, or at least until Asamoah comes back. But if you want to act like a c*nt, and use us as a pawn, you have to accept that we can use you like that too. P*ss off and get the best deal you can from a club that already regards you as a reserve. Bloody good luck with it, mate.

I reckon he could have done a job for us in the short term. At least it was not Heskey!
