    Evening all ! Just heard that Lucio has left Inter today ! He's 34 but is a
    tough, no nonsense type of central defender. Could do a decent job at the
    heart of our defence. Having said all that, his wages demands could.be way
    beyond what we would be prepared to pay !
    What do you think ?

    I know what flyer will say about him.
    It's a nice thought micnorwil but I don't think he'll be coming to the bush.

    He's joining Juventus, but would have been an excellent aquisition for us.

    Well youd be wrong, theres a difference between signing average or awful players who are old and signing top class older players.

    No. As Perone got overrun by Ashley Grimes and Jean Louis Akpa-Akpro in a League Cup second round game at home to Rochdale he showed a marked improvement from when he looked out of his depth against non-league players in pre-season and if he kept improving at that rate he'd be our version of Maldini by 2049.

    Still, I'd have him back over Fitz ****ing Hall.

    He's a fine player but I don't think we're good enough to warrant defenders that can put our attackers to shame.

    I would be more than happy if we got someone like him but it seems slightly against the grain of our building a solid team that doesn't concede.
