Luciano Vietto is the latest striker linked with a move to Newcastle this January.

The Argentinian Under 20s international only moved to Villareal in the summer but has already scored 8 goals in 10 starts and a number of substitute appearances.

Vietto turns 21 on Friday and has settled well at his new Spanish club after a near £5m move from Racing Club of Argentina.

Newcastle scouts are said to be impressed by Luciano Vietto and indeed United were said to be interested back in the summer before he joined Villareal.

The forward has also caught the eye of a number of other clubs and has been scouted regularly so far this season, with clubs as diverse as Inter Milan and Leicester City also credited with an interest.

 

With those kind of stats he won't be coming here!

I can say he was ridiculously good on FM14. He scored boat loads and was a Newcastle legend. I eventually sold him aged 30 to Monaco for 32m. Money was too good and I had some nigerian kid aged 19 called Bawa something or other who was ridiculously good.
