Well, Lucas is out for the season and more, which I think is as bad as losing Suarez (which may yet happen). With no Spearing for the next few games, Liverpool needs to sort out its midfield, which was so packed in the summer, and fast. I never thought Spearing would be a suitable replacement anyway, he simply isn't good enough. Who should Liverpool buy in January and why?
Rossi, Higuan, Neymar, Gomez, Muller. Someone who can bloody score! I do agree Lucas is as big a loss as Suarez, but I feel we have cover still to an extent. Our lack of goals is a much more pressing issue.
Got to stick with maxi (I know he was wasteful today) but he is our most dangerous player after Suarez and surely deserves a proper run of games after his performances. Downing et al got the same treatment after being dyer
Could we offer 15M for Adebayor in January. Giving us an experienced striker and weakening one of our rivals... Would that be allowed, as we would be buying of Man City and weakening Tottenham. Adebayor is very used to playing in a good passing team, even if he isnt one of my natural choices...Just trying to think clever..(It hurts.)
