Carlo Ancelotti signed Piazon for Chelsea first XI not youth level as Piazon has already played youth level at Sao Paulo, you don't sign player for £5.5m could reach £10 million and put him in the youth team. Piazon will be 18 soon and Carlo Ancellotti turned Kaka in to a star at AC Milan when Kaka was young and Carlo will do the same with Piazon at Chelsea.

Piazon is South American and it's only recently with Alex, Ramires & Luiz we've started to buy Brazilians. I would put South Americans in to first team and Carlo likes Brazilians too. Carlo put Kaka and Pato in to Milan first team when they were 18.

Piazon and McEachran Chelsea's midfield such classy young talent.

I wouldn't be too sure of that - Piazon hasn't played a single first team game for Sao Paolo, so I doubt Ancelotti will through him into Chelsea's first team straight away. That would risk him getting injured or having his confidence knocked by stepping up a level too soon. When Kaka came to Milan he'd already played almost 60 first team games for Sao Paolo so the two players can't be directly compared in terms of their experience.

I reckon he'll play much of next season in the reserves, making appearances in the cups and on the bench, and be gradually blooded into the first team. Of course if he puts in some exceptional performances he'll probably get fast tracked into the first team, but Ancelotti will want to run the rule over him first.

Lucas Piazon deal could reach £10 millian which is what Malouda cost us so this suggests to me that Piazon isn't for youth team but for Chelsea first XI.

Carlo put Kaka and Pato in to Milan first team at Milan when they were 18. Soa Paulo produced Kaka too.

Errr, Kaka was bought by Milan in 2003 when he was 21 and had two full seasons of experience with Sao Paolo and had made his full Brazil debut one year earlier. He was vastly more experienced that Piazon is now - Piazon hasn't even played for the Brazil U20s yet. Pato was blooded earlier, but he'd played 30 games for Internacional's first team, and was playing for the Brazil U20s when he joined Milan aged 17, so was still ahead of Piazon in terms of development.

And to be honest £10 million isn't all that much when you consider what most of your current first XI cost (not having a go there). Malouda was £13.5 million wasn't he?

I doubt he'll be for your youth team, but I'd be surprised if he gets popped straight into the first XI without spending some time in the reserves first.

21 is still a young age, you have to be 21 to be able to drink in America. Pato was 17/18 when he made his debut for AC Milan though.

yes Malouda was bought for 12/13million then and there was some debate on how much he cost back then.

If the fee is starting at 5.5m then that isn't the sort of fee that puts you into the first team straight away. We have paid millions for other young players who have not commanded a place in the first team so I wouldn't get too carried away just yet.
I hope he is good but it'll be a couple of years before we really find out.
