Reports suggesting early scans revealing he could be out for 6/8 weeks. I feel so sorry for the lad if it's true. He's worked really hard to get fit for the season, and now this. Really hope it isn't true.
Gutted for him From a selfish point of view I'm glad we got Sahin in even more so now but it's so harsh on the lad if true. Think we need to give him plenty of time whatever the injury, make sure he's 100% and not rush him back as much as we know how important he is.
Really hope that's not true. Have to wonder why he started if he got injured in the warm up - especially as he's only just come back from a big injury. Sahin couldn't have arrived at a better time.

Arrrgh! Poor Lucas! From our standpoint at least we have plenty of backup now! Not that that is any consolation to him.
Damn!! Tough break but at least we have Sahin, Allen, and Shelvey to play there ( Hendo too but he has fallen down the line)
At least we now have Sahin and Allen - two players who can definately play in Lucas's place. Gone are the days that we have to rely upon Spearing, Shelvey and Henderson - let them grow accustomed to the role, not force them in.
It's a pity if he is out for a while again but as people are saying we now have cover in Joe Allen. What's with attacking Alan who posted a sensible comment? We have enough people from other clubs come on here giving us **** so why attack a normal comment wishing an injured player well?
i'll be suprised if a thigh injury keeps him out that long. if he'd gone off in the warm up i'm sure it was 1-2 weeks. he simply didn't look injured enough for 6-8 weeks so i guess we'll see. it gives us a chance to play gerrard , sahin and allen together and keep sterling in i suppose.... there's always a silver lining guys....
I was hoping to see a trio of Allen, Lucas and Sahin and with Gerrard being dropped or pushed further forwards. Credit to Gerrard on Sunday - thought he played well and worked hard.
Alan and Swarbs are no longer decent posters, they are now ****s because they feel the board has gone downhill and they want the bad eggs banned. Gutted for Lucas, I know we have cover but we are still weakened by this. Never a good thing to have a player of his quality missing.
