What the actual ****? How can a tightness in the thigh suddenly equate to 3 months out!? Lucas the new Agger?

****, that is disastrous. What do we do now, Sign anyone defensively or keep Spearing? Allen, Sahin, Gerrard, Shelvey, Henderson.....might be enough cover?

I think we'll be alright, unless one of Allen/Sahin gets injured. I think mid three of Allen-Sahin-Gerrard then Shelvey, Hendo,Spearing back up in that order.

Really, really hope this means we dont keep Adam or Spearing. They both need to be sold to fund new players(Walcott , Dempsey). TBH i suspect it wont

Allen and Hendo will be the ones to cover Lucas position, and the likes of Suso,Coady,Texeira are ALL good enough to play the odd CC or EL game if required, plus if Dempsey comes in he can play in midfield too

Carragher could always sit in DM if we ever get desperate.

I know we now have cover, but this is still a HUGE loss.

I would rather play Carroll there.

This is such bad luck for Lucas. Really feel sorry for him - he doesn't deserve this.

Did Rodgers every play with a proper DM at Swansea?

Couple of Swans said their deep lying mid was Britton, I think with Allen and Sahin we have 2 players who are capable of keeping it tight. Last season we were left with Spearing and Adam for many of the games. <yikes>

Apparently he's a quick healer so it may be a faster recovery. Let's hope so <ok>

This is the problem you have when you rush to come back to early. The lad needs time to recover and should feel no pressure to get himself back on the park any sooner than necessary! Come On Lucas, take you time son!

Yip, amazing how many times a long term injury is quickly followed with another. No matter how much Physio you get you still strain surrounding areas of the original injury when you're compensating: as soon as you go full tilt one of them goes!

Hopefully he is a quick recovering with a bit more luck this time. Years ahead as a Red!

I know who I'll be asking for a thigh rub if I got a similar injury. <ok>

Do we know exactly what he has done? Real shame for him and us. At least we know this now as it could influence transfers over the next couple of days I suppose?

Desperately looking for a positive here!
