Cardiff fan, This is the first time I have posted a new thread on another clubs board. One thing you have had from Wenger is total loyalty and a wonderful ability to get players in and transform them into great players. Ramsey went from us for £5 million which was a lot for us at the time but one day perhaps he will go for mega bucks. Loyalty is a two way thing, any club would be proud to have Wenger as manager. No matter what the results, go to the games and shout his name from the rafters the man is a legend. By the way if a player wants more than £100,000 a week do you really want him? Are you earning £100,000 a year? Right now Wenger is the fall guy but he has done nothing wrong.
Wenger has done nothing wrong? He has made quite a few mistakes... (I know you will say who has not) He said he was experimenting with youth and not got the blend of youth and experience right.... get them cheap/young and sell them high.... He was happy to let experienced players leave, (well apart from Fab/Nas) he could do nothing about. We always say our players leave a season or 2 too early..... Nevr really replacing Viera Not getting himself a decent goal keeper, sticking with Alumnia far too long.... But still he is still IMO the best man for the job, as I am sure he has learnt a great deal from this whole saga....
Not getting a decent goalie , your goalie this season has been your best player .Looks a great prospect
Loyalty is a 2 way thing. What loyalty do the fans get from players who move for more money or a board who increase season ticket prices way above inflation. Most fans are TOO loyal they keep turning up whatever the results buy overpriced new shirts and merchandise and generally fund the club. Maybe we should vote with our feet more and show the board, manager and team that we are not to be taken for granted. This is an entertainment business and the manager is a paid performer, if he doesn't preform well, he should go and let someone else have a go.
