Just read on OTIB, that only 4000 tickets sold for the match plus about 700-800 Rovers tickets. I know we have over a week to go, and people tend to get their tickets later but was Hoping for a lot more. The Gerry Gow game is going to be watched by less, I entered into a draw to be manager for the day for that game only 8 tickets was sold I still lost though but thought a lot more would of entered that to be able to stand on the touch line shouting instructions having a laugh. Would of been funny with the players at half time standing in the car park getting instructions from me having my half time cigarette but hey I lost. Hopefully we sell more this week and next.
Me! and my son had a last minute opportunity to maybe get a bit of a game in it too... Both gutted... but I am gonna but a ticket anyway, he is one of very few who deserves it..
It has taken BCFC decades to put Gows game on. How well was it thought out? All Citys players and officials will be away in Scotland to honour him rather than Ashton Gate. He deserves better.
It wouldn't surprise me if there were fans who were reluctant to go to a derby game given the lack of love between our fans and the potential for things to kick off. It's a shame, because I think the Bristol derby should be a yearly fixture, whether it is a league match or a pre-season friendly. Neither team is that great, so there's really no reason to see anything but friendly banter between the two teams on the match day, along with hope that both teams will be competing at the top of the English game in a few years.
Bought four ticket for careys game yesterday.Really thought this would be a big crowd against the gas,we normally sit in the Dolman, but reluctantly have to go in the Williams stand to get a side view. Will be at Gows game my all time favourite city player,i just hope many of us more mature brigade turn up for his game. The modern footballer could learn more from Gow than all these modern day primma donas put together. A proper no noncence footballer who loved to play football hard and fair.
i going to the gow match just gotta pick the tickets up i wanted to go the louis one aswell but my driver thinks there will be trouble and she refuses to take me also she not a big fan of louis also the new season ticket case looks horrible
Wouldn't it be nice to see some corporation come on board as a sponsor for these games? Give away free, or cheap, tickets to show our young ones what true deication and respect was all about, unlike today's wasters.
well the bristol derby doesnt exactly feel me with excitment, hence why we've sold 4000 and gas heads are the same we give them the whole eastend and theyve sold 700.... i got to get a new car AGAIN! so money will be going to that now
