Does anyone know when the contract with Lotto runs out? I feel it's time to let someone else have a go at designing our kits. Some of the kits from them have been nice, like all of last season's kits. But some of them have been woeful. At times, they look like they were made from a standard template, such as the away and third kit from our first year with them and all the kits in our second year with them. Again, this years second kit looks like a standard template issue but the first kit is ok and I recon the third kit actually looks really nice. What do you all recon? please log in to view this image
By the way TF says he HAS no choice to use lotto, and it's out of his hands, I'm guessing he doesn't rate then too highly. So no renewal I believe
be pleased when the lotto contract runs out at the end of the season, may consider buying a shirt then
i love the brand and the shirts they have produced will eventually become design classics ... it will grow on you ... these hoops are now defined as hoops not such couple of blue rings
I do like how they have a lot of hoops. I thought last season's home kit looked so classic and quality. Our players looked very smart out on the green pitch!
The Lotto deal run out after this season and TF has made it quite clear we'll have a different kit supplier next year. Overall I'm satisfied with Lotto, the last two designs we had in the Championship with Gulf Air on the chest was some of our all time best imo. Last years home kit was so crisp and vintage QPR, apart from the sponsorship shambles. I've also checked out the Korean football forum and they seem fixated on kits and sure know their stuff! Lotto is not a popular supplier as far as I could see, and they had examples to back that up. If you want to sell kits worldwide then there is only two candidates and that is Nike and Adidas. Personally I would like to see Puma given a shot, they have some unique and groundbreaking designs, it would either be legendary or go tits up though.
Puma do the tight, clingy tops which would be horrendous with our fat boy support. Plus they do Reading which would mean we would probably have an identical kit. Id like to see us go for Adidas if we could get a proper contract.
I still have nightmares of the 1st lotto shirt that had to be pre ordered and seeing loads of fat people in shirts 3 sizes too small for them. Id love to be able to order a L and know it would be baggy and not like lycra.
Would not like puma at all. They do fulham's kit and the horrible black puma on the shoulders looks awful. Nike for me as Adidas do Chelsea, and we dont really want the Adidas stripes on both us and their kits!
You're right, and so is Flyer about Reading. Guess I didn't think it through, what I had in mind was Cameroon and the Ivory Coast' shirts, they are brilliant and I was only thinking what they could do with Hoops. Trouble with Nike and Adidas is that if you ain't a big club they don't seem to bother with the designs. Adidas made our legendary Guinness kits, and since we have hoops I can't see them having the design ready made and would have to make an effort. Adidas also have the best material imo. Nike on the other hand have managed to make both the worst ever and best ever kit in the same year. ManU's curtain design is hideous while the home shirt for France' national team is epic. No middle ground I fear with Nike, it's heaven or hell, not sure I'm ready to gamble on that. In the end it may come down to which market we decide to try and break, Nike are enormous in America, while their both equal in Asia and Africa.
That could be a real heaven or hell thing for you as well. Wasn't it Puma that were experimental and gave them first a vest and then an all in one kit? (vest, baby grow, dungarees next?)
I don't care who makes the kit as long as the away kit isn't just some **** template kit they've got lying around in the warehouse.
Which is what Lotto have done quite often, the year 1 2nd and 3rd and this years 2nd and 3rd as well which is pretty bad considering they are paying us to wear them
Aye, but the third kit actually comes off as good. The away kit just looks like a Sports Direct sale item. please log in to view this image
But its not "QPR". Its just a bog standard template kit. Not bad but certainly wouldnt get me to pay £45 for it.
