IN 1986 WHEN THE LOTTERY FIRST BEGAN... in our workplace we were putting a quid in or more if you wished and did 40 lines...then they decided to make it 2 x a week and we only did 28 lines..they then published that certain "local" towns clubs associations had not been regarded as worthy of support but given millions to third world countries A LOAD DROPPED OUT and we did 18 lines...then some Canadian company took it over and we had the same number of people in it but only 8 lines twice a week............ NOW they up the price, really I suppose with inflation is about right, but start to do this do that up this up that down this down that almost a con, but unbelievably we have the same number of people playing as when the CANADIANS TOOK IT OVER but are now only doing 4 lines.............. ANYONE DO THE LOTTERY???
I do the euro millions when it gets to a ridiculous amount but I used to have a scratch card problem! I think one day I must of brought about 15-20 scratch cards.
Euro when very high but thats about it for me. I can clearly remember the very first lottery draw on t.v........the program was a huge gala event and went on for about 2 hours or so. The whole family were sat around the box with our cards at the ready. 1st number out..."I got that!" shouts mum, 2nd number "I got that one as well!".........3rd number "And I got that one!"...........4th number out "bloody hell I got that one too!".............. No fairy tale...that was it! The first four numbers out of the first ever draw. I think she had just over a hundred quid if I remember right?
they say you can get the itch with scratch cards... Euromillions, used to do it before they tried to get greedy and attract people with pay £2 and win £2.20p for 2 numbers, the millions they pay out here, 2 numbers, could make 3 numbers worthwhile, I also only dabble periodically due to them not knowing the golden rule "if it aint broke don't try and fix it"
I do the euros but only when its over £30m, if your gonna win it might as well make it a worthwhile amount. Two people I know were in a syndicate that won the lotto jackpot. They got £160k, spent it on beer and then got divorced.
Another guy I worked with did 2 lines on the Lotto. He got the first 3 numbers on his first line and the last 3 numbers on his second line. He couldn't bring himself to collect his £20 and pinned the ticket up in the office.
I currently do a syndicate with 20 other people (mostly people I have never met them) We used to contribute £100 every 4 months and all the winnings would be reinvested on big draws etc. We will now be doing £100 but every 3 months.. I daren't leave now.. I have 2 mates who have won big.. one 250k on a scratchcard.
my syndicate of 10 won 4 balls and 3 balls last saturday £107. we are moving to the health lottery on the 12/10 AJ's lucky 6 tonite==5,11,17,18,33, 43.
I would have put it in a scanner and made a copy then got my loot...better check whats on the wall is genuine! had the same 3 on different lines or all 6 on various lines on 1 ticket
