I need a big favour from my FB friends….
I have tried everything I can think of to reunite this wedding ring. I found it at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland in 2012. It is engraved with AJ a` SC and a date. Next year it will be their 25th wedding anniversary!!! I would love to get it back to them before then.
Due to the font and other markings it could be French. Please share this far and wide and help me track down the owner.

Its for a friend on FB I know its a long shot but we can but try.

any success please contact me on [email protected]. and I will pass on to my friend Thanks and Good luck for 2014/15 season

Why wasn't it handed in to the club as soon as it was found? It was engraved and would have claimed straight away. Holding on to it has made it very difficult to reunite it as the owner has probably given up. A mix of misfortune and then stupidity from the person who found it lowers the chance. Why don't they just hand it into the club like they should have done in the first place? The club may add it to their twitter, facebook and official site. You're targeting a tiny section of the fan base on the forums. Appeals need to come from official channels to have a chance.

Oh, and delete what the engraving is, you're giving thieves the chance to make a false claim. <doh>

Just as well you pointed that out ST. You'd be getting some stick soon for it.

If whoever found thinks there a French link they should be posting it on French footy sites, if there are any.

It should be with the Police.

The fact they still have it 2 years on is crazy. If theyd handed it to the police its policy that if it isnt claimed within a certain time period it's yours if you want it.

He still hasn't deleted details of the engraving. It's the one thing only the owner and their partner can describe and now everyone knows. Someone will claim it and scrap it.

Bit late to worry about that Funk. It's been on TV as well.

It's also got a date on it so it would relatively easy to disprove any claim, needing proof of both sets of initials and proof that you may have made a mistake on 16th June 1990 <whistle>

16th June 1990 was when England drew 0-0 with Holland at the 1990 World Cup. I remember it like it was yesterday and yet it was more than 24 years ago. Tempus fugit.
