Cesc Fabregas has hit back at Jose Mourinho, telling the Chelsea boss to 'mind his own business' after his criticism of the current Barcelona team. Mourinho claimed the current Barca side is the "worst in many, many years" ahead of Barcelona's Champions League clash with Manchester City in midweek. Fabregas insists Mourinho's barbs did not provide motivation to Barca in their 2-0 win at the Etihad Stadium, and feels the former Real Madrid chief should focus on his own side Chelsea. "He should talk about Chelsea and their tie," said Fabregas. "I don't think he should talk about anything else. It is not his business. "If we have to get motivated by Mourinho's comments, we shouldn't play football. We are top of the table, in the cup final, in a good moment in the Champions League. "Some people want us to fail all the time, some people have been talking a bit too much, for a few days they will have to shut up." Fabregas was happy with Barca's performance against City, feeling they controlled the game at the Etihad as they gained a two-goal first-leg lead to take back to Camp Nou. "I don't think he (Mourinho) should talk about anything else. It is not his business." Cesc Fabregas "It was about controlling the game," added the former Arsenal star. "We know they are good on the counter and when they play offensive football, they play it very well. "They know what they have to do, we controlled them very well and we did not let their fans get behind their team. We minimised all their efforts. It was a very complete game. "When you have players like Leo, Xavi and Andres [Iniesta], you can beat them but not if you can't take the ball away from them. We did that very well - we did not let City have the ball. If you do not have the ball, you can't create chances. We have to be very proud. "We knew [City] have scored a lot. I watch the Premier League every week and they have been very superior to all these sides when they have played [at home]. "It is normal everyone gets excited [over this win], especially in a nice competition like the Champions League. We knew what we had to do and did it very well." http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-tells-jose-mourinho-to-mind-his-own-business ------------ He really should try to keep his nose out instead of having daily meltdowns
Maureen doesn't care if he makes a tit out of himself and the media lap up his BS which in turn feeds his ego and thus the cycle continues. It's all rather pathetic to be honest.
don't like it don't read it? funny how many people do not like it but feel the need to write essays about it
Same to the people who constantly ramble on about not caring about what he says. It's funny seeing so many people get wound up though.
That makes no sense, I actually wrote (including the title) 2 lines on it? Essays are usually longer and the report is Fabregas saying talking and not another quote embarrassing Chelsea from your manager
Im just stating that he is losing friends and respect in the football world, which he is Where does it show me being wound up
Jose's not worried. He doesn't have many friends to lose. Heck he probably doesn't care much about friends any more, after he spend a decade lodged up SAF's bumhole only to be binned for Moyes
Na, mediocre moyes was hired after jose, ancelotti and pep turned you down! Hope united win this weekend, gotta keep moyes in the job. #moyesin
Given your mental state a thread like that may take you all afternoon but took me half a minute im afraid
I think he was talking about embarrassing the club, not the fans But seeing as you're not embarrassed does that mean you think his disrespectful remarks are ok?
Nope not at all. It's funny how so many opposition fans are so concerned about our manager. Seems to me that Jose is getting exactly the response he wanted. No one is talking about Chelsea FC players just Jose. Jose farts and it's a bigger story than Liverpool winning a game.
To me the club is the fans. Least it should be. As a Liverpool fan I'm extremely surprised you don't think that yourself. Maybe that's what's gone wrong for you these last 24 league titleless years, you're not all one.
So for example, when the club make a mistake and have to issue an apology do they email you to find out your thoughts? Are you one of those people who thinks you are a success personally because the club is successful? You don't need to dictate to me or any other Liverpool fans about the part we play in our club. We support the club through thick and thin it goes without saying but when your manager is disrespectful it reflects badly on the establishment of the club - not the fan body. The club is an entity in it's own right, the fans aren't.
Hell no! when he left last time the premiership was never the same. Now the master is back and holds court for the hacks who like us just love every word. He's the tops is our man Jose
He definitely is. Personally I find Mourinho more cringeworthy than anything though not half as cringeworthy as some of the stuff my own club does. It's illogical to think 'I am the club'- you're not whether you cover yourself in club tattoos and wear an ill-fitting replica shirt as a middle-aged man, live halfway round the world and can't name a player from ten years ago or anything in between.
The fans are the biggest representatives of any club, so stick your slap face up your arse. I couldn't care less what he says, it's hilarious watching people foam at the mouth about him instead of talk about Chelsea's players - which is exactly what he wants. Liverpool and Arsenal fans seem to be the ones getting most upset, which isn't surprising.
