Should they scrap the presentation of the losers medals.

I appreciate its a sporting competition but it must be one of the lowest points a footballer can get to. Then you have to walk up them steps to get something you probably don't even want.

Been through lots many a time. Coming second in a competition is a good achievement no matter how disappointing. You could take a positive out of it by resolving to be back next year or better next time.

In some casea todays footballers just get over it by counting the bonuses, win or lose.

I was there when we did mate and I wasn't, pissed off yes over the moon no.
Suppose it's a recognition of an achievement of sorts, I'd love to have had the chance to get one.

Some of my proudest moments have been when Sunderland players have picked up loser medals with our fans singing their hearts out. No don't scrap it

Abiding memory for me was the Sunderland crowd staying behind to clap and cheer the team off after that dreadful Milk Cup final against Norwich.

last year the stoke end was still full for the prsentation the players loooked upset but proud

the liverpool fans and players seemed to forget what losing was like and they all left and the players had to go up to an half empty stadium which was a shame

I never saw the presentation as I'm on holiday and the tv got turned over before the presentation. But this is shocking. Shows a total lack of respect. I saw Suarez trying to leave but didn't realise the fans did that. ****ing scousers

I said that yesterday, why do they have to wait. In the 70's there was 3rd and 4th in the f a cup!, the losing semi finalists played each other at wembley. It only lasted two seasons though. And why did SAFC not play in the charity shield in 1973?.
