Today we play in form Barnsley and I really think that if we lose our time in the Championship is over for quite some time. Huddersfield are playing Ipswich and should the terriers win our task of catching up with the pack will become an impossibilty. Nine points off the pace is way too much for this terrible squad we call our team. My thoughts on why this has happened, or dare I say allowed to happen, are totally irrelevant at this sad time for Bristol City and although I hope that we can stay up I truly believe we are cooked and have been for quite some time now. Did you ever believe that whilst Bristol City are playing in the 3rd tier of English football there is a possibilty that Yeovil Town will be above us in the 2nd level? Just shows the commitment of Bristol City to give us good quality football and I think all people associated with the team should hang their collective heads in shame rather than burying them in the sand as they have done for the last 5 years. The only people to come out of this disaster with their helds held high are we the supporters, no matter what level of support you can offer. Some may ask why I am posting this thread before this afternoon's match, well it just gives me the opportunity to vent my frustration on the entire season rather than a single result. Good luck City by the way.
I think we're down before kick off mike even if we win, We're not consistent enough. We could win this then go to blackpool and lose. Which is what I think will happen.
No no NO! Mike with respect, we obviously need to win all or most our home games to have any chance, but posts like this are incredibly negative and with respect stating the bleeding obvious, given the recent 'good news' stories in the EP now is NOT the time to give up............remember we are BristolCity we always believe! Wow that was fast shiny and regrettably you are, and have been, correct for some time. The true believrs will be on us soon and although I love their optimism I just wish they would wake up and see the inevitable. Thinkng of us going down to League 1 with accrued debts of around 40-50 million over the last 5 years, or so, scares me to death to be perfectly frank. It is symptomatic of our poor management when we lose that kind of money and achieve nothing at all. The face and culture of football as we know it at Ashton Gate is about to change, and probably for the worse, especially when you consider our overall financial position. The lack of attention to the proper details has cost us dearly and no-one, except us, noticed. Shame shame shame!

Its not that I don't believe, Ill keep the faith that we can stay up until its mathematically impossible, But im looking at the bigger picture, Do I think there a 3 worser(I know there's no such word) teams than us...... The answer is no. I personally think apart from Peterborough we are the worst team in the league. Which is why we're going down. Ill keep the faith and support the boys like they were top of the league and not bottom, However I still think we will go down
With all respect ADR I think it's time to face the real facts and accept our future which is based on lousy decisions over a long time by the people who should have known better. Enjoy the game and should City win I will toast your optimism tonight with a glass of wine. Good luck!
If we are inconsistent then what's wrong with losing today and then winning the final 12 games? Yes there are 3 teams worse than us but they are doing excatly what Coventry and Doncaster done last year. They hit a purple patch put us in the ****, no different to this year. I said last year and no one believed me Barnsley were going to finish below us as they were dropping and they did, this year Huddlesfield are dropping I said a month ago they will. Not saying I'm psychic or anything but years gone by teams drop, and one makes a charge up the table to shock everyone by making play offs Your three teams worse than us are Wolves no one wants to believe because they are a big club, but could we beat them away well we beat Forest when everyone said we won't? Petersborough Will hammer a club one week then go on a losing spell Barnsley win lose or draw they are worse they are in good form but those wheels will come off Huddlesfield will carry on dropping and could be our Coventry game last year with it being decided at our place April 27th So until its mathematically impossisible I will always believe the great escape is on. Just like 8 games to go last year bottom with Forest coming up everyone saying we are ****ed but we finished with a club between us and relegation.
Enjoy our glass of wine ADR and toast the win. Well done City and now let's take that positivity on the road to Blackpool.
