Lorimer's comment on why Howson and Johnson left us for the Premiership. Just typifies the lack of investment and ambition around the club at the moment. Ridiculous to say that these two couldn't have played Premiership football with Leeds had we invested in the way Southampton, Reading, Leicester and others have done. Our situation can only be seen as completely desperate. The silver lining is that Warnock seems just as pissed off as we are. He's just admitted it cant get any lower and he's not wrong! MOT
Peter Lorimer? Forgotten yesterdayman. I was livid with someo of the things he was saying, am surprised I did not crash the car. From now on he is to be called Pontius Peter.
He really ****ed me off big time today. They rattle on about the quality not being there and sell our best player just before the August transfer window closes. Then sell our captain as a desperate measure to bring some cash in. He was basically slating Grayson for this current run of form and how the season has gone as a whole. Well I'm sorry but if you keep selling your under 25's who are improving all the time, we get exactly what we deserve. The board seem to be using the 'there's nothing you can do if they want to play in the Premiership' card too easily in my opinion. MOT
The thing that galls me about Pontious Pete is that he's now complaining about the quality of the players. Why wait until now? Didn't he notice before. If he did, he was very quiet. If anyone ever gets the chance - ask him why he kept quiet about the squad for so long. I think we all know the answer - he's only just been told to criticise it by KB.
Biggest tosh Pontious Pete spoke was when he kept insisting we have too many players on massive wages!!! WTF???? Bates mouthpiece, nothing else!!
I was absolutely infuriated listening to his argument about loan players, saying we've only got one loan player, Darren O'Dea, and that it's not a lot. I nearly threw my laptop out of the ****ing window. It's disgraceful. I spent about 10 minutes trying to find the phone number on the yorkshire radio website before realising the website is gash and it wasn't likely to be on there, and getting bored. I was going to list every one of the terrible loan players we've had and the terrible circumstances in which they've come in and subsequently left. But hey, I'd have only got myself cut off or angrier.
