http://www.teamtalk.com/papertalk/8373473/Paper-Talk-Reds-rubbish-talk-of-Wes-bid I am positive if he stayed he would of kicked on and been great for us in what would of been his second season for the club. The performance against liverpool he was oustanding and him and Catts worked well together, the lad is a good player, Galatasary and Lazio are good teams and if there was a chance we could get him at a good price I would take it. We still need creativity in the middle but a play like Cana would allow Catts to close down from further up the pitch
Would take him all day mate, him and Catts played well together when he was with us. Just hope he doesn't get "homesick" again after a year.
If im not wrong he's really struggled with injury the last few year. Loved him when he was here. With Meyler returning to form and gets coming back from injury if you throw cana in the mix its a bit dejavu but not a bad headache to have for Mon. We would still need someone creative though
Would be a good signing I was wounded when he left him and cats in mid yeah I like that Cahill as cover
Great player..but a journeyman now, probably looking for a last decent payday. If we get Cahill, I would prefer us to go for someone younger and much more hungry.
It's a big no from me, totally overrated and the same kind of player as Catts, just Catts is 3 times the player Cana is.
Scott Parker isn't getting a game. if we're talking about lescott in terms of quality then parker would be ideal. levy is a swine but parker and cahill would leave me a very happy mackem. Loved Cana but can't see anything in it.
It's a no from me too. He's getting on a bit now and I'd rather we went for someone younger and more attacking CM to play alongside Catts
I'm sorry but who is this 'too old' Lorik Cana some are talkking about? Could it be the same 29 year old we had who became a crowd favourite over night? If he wanted back I'd bugger a flock of sheep to get him. We are desperate for some height and power in our midfield and he was dominant in the air in midfield and had a huge presence about him. Cahill and Cana would add experience and guile to our gameplay imo and we can alos keep looking for a pacy younger player and a some other defensive options. I dont think a policy of only young players is the way forward. You have to have players that suit your plans NOW not in 2 or 3 years time as for most managers, 2 or 3 seasons could be forever. Some of the wallys at our club have been advocating ditching MoN after 10 months let alone 18 months down the line. If he is fit, like Cahill, age is no barrier to success. Just as SAF about Giggs and Scholes?
