http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11854_6743139,00.html Got to say this is a real strange story this morning! I had to read it twice to make sure I was reading it correctly but Bolton, Fulham and Villa all tried to sign the lad in January and Lazio tried and failed as well? His father apparently hasn't ruled out this return to the EPL in the Summer? What the hell is all this about? If he wanted out of Sunderland because he was home sick (apparently) and to be fair he went as close to home as he could get at the time, why would he want to come back after only a year? Do you think there was maybe more to his departure at SAFC than first meets the eye? As with Judas and a certain Miss Bruce, all is not always what it seems on the surface at times when players move on. I just find the prospect of his potential return a tad puzzling, as I was a huge fan of the lad and sorry to see him go in the first place.
Its a puzzling one. Many many supporters loved the lad, and with rumours that Bent wanted out in the summer as well, something may have went on which we (including the media) all missed out on. If only we had a source inside the club....big_chris?
Didn't he want away because his bird couldn't get a visa or summat? Maybe they've split, maybe her circumstances have changed? I liked Lorik, but we have Catts and Muntari, so if he comes back to the EPL, no sour grapes from me. Unless it's to NE1 like.
My son and I were big fans too Cest, even when some were saying his rash tackles were a liability. My first thought when he went was, he probably doubled his wages.
Tut tut tut! Repeating the same post in numerous threads isn't trolling bonny lad it's called being an idiot! Good trolls are bright and inventive, so best you leave it to someone else.
interesting one i must admit, i have text my source to see if i can find anything out, bit of a co-incidence though
I know it wouldn't happen but if Lorik wanted to come back to the prem I would have him back at Sunderland but would he be willing to be a squad player? On his day the lad was class and I think if he had stayed he would only of improved with a years premier league experience under his belt BUT he certainly aint no Muntari and Catts would be in the side
must admit catts for me every day of the week. dont think i would have him back as i feel that catts, muntari and meyler are all way ahead of him in terms of ability and playin that role
I'm not sayong for one minute I'd have him back - players leave for theor reasons and I think it best not to come back as it never works out the second time around but I was a big fan and I agree that given a first year in this league, he would have been awesome for a second year. I just find it all rather bewildering that he would come back to the EPL so quickly after being so 'homesick' just 7 months ago.
