    well that will be nice
The Premier League will pay up to £15m to help the EFL secure a £200m loan which it will then lend to Championship clubs interest free.
Loans are capped at £8.33m per club and must be repaid by June 2024.

maybe not so good the day after!
seems poorly run clubs in the lower 2 divisions get a free hand out and well run clubs get nothing!
WONDER how much Paye city owe! … probably put it in a separate bank account till 2024 and pay the revenue PAYE as it comes in!

Most clubs struggle to make a profit, in fact most don’t manage it. Is it worth taking on more debt in the form of a loan that needs paying back with interest ?

it is interest free.. only for paying paye .. makes sense to take it … pay into bank keeps the overdraft interest down!
the prem looks to be bailing out champs … they are not. …. they are picking up the tab for the loan interest. £200m at best rates [secured ]is around 3.75% or less .. so a full 3 years would be [ say 4% ] £25m pathetic amount to championship clubs bearing in mind 6 or so on parachute payments ….
