Given how long the saga has gone on i have my doubts it will happen. Dont forget when we were first linked West Ham were making alleged bids for Andy Carroll which never happened.

I just cant see city spending over £1m on a player when they have gone about this season making big cuts to save money to reduce our debts.
The only way they would spend the money if they did sell albert and they reinvested some of the money they got for him

Player stalling for time looking for the best deal - I guess you can't blame him

    Please God - not Bikey.

Better than Tanglefeet, who isn't, rather give James Wilson the shirt and better balance with Fonts.

Obviously prefer McInnes to bring in a dominant CH rather than Bikey - be warned - he's a disaster waiting to happen.

I thought he did pretty good back end of...
We stopped losing (and stayed up!)

    He's a Bull in a china shop.
He's ok when a ball comes straight but nightmare from crosses.
As for his mental stability - lets say the Jury's out.

Bikey's a free agent - ask yourself why not one club has come forward.
You might also ask yourself why Burnley didn't keep him.

Does your above logic also apply to that most useless of all loan signings Chris Wood.

I agree with your assessment of Wood.
It was well documented that DM was a fan of his and had been following him for a while.
All of which is not particularly reassuring when we are waiting for him to sign a new striker....
Gary Johnson signed a succession of poor strikers and his judgement seemed pretty poor
in that area. He found some good bargains in defence/midfield but was useless with strikers.
We seem to have been a strikers gaveyard for a few years now - perhaps due to style of play.
Lets hope DM proves to have an eye for a goal scorer and that Wood was a one-off mistake....

No it doesn't, the main reason being that Wood didn't stop us haemorrhaging goals and Bikey did.
You cant win games if you're 0-3 down at half time every game, and Bikey did make a difference. As we now dont have Cisse that makes it even more vital to put some power and experience into our defence - unless you have other options we dont know about...
Wood didn't make a difference to anyone, and unsurprisingly is not heard about these days.

As for our attack, GJ signed Maynard and he wasn't bad

Mostly because he was on prem wages, or possibly because he's mental and pushes over medical staff when they're treating someone on his team...

Completely agree with you about Bikey being a no go, grateful for what he did but a proper loose cannon.

Wood is a very good target man, but we already have Taylor and Stead. In a better footballing team he'd score goals. However we used him as a left winger which he certainly isn't, scored a vital penalty at Forest though.
