Almost certainly Steve will be joining Swansea in the Premier. In my opinion he was one of the highlights from last season and if we could but have held on to him he is the kind of class player we so desperately need. Howver I'm sure he will be happy with the move and surely we all wish hin well for his future, but if we start losing quality players like him how many others will jump ship to play at a higher level? Nicky Maynard is another that could be on his way and the lack of news concers me over his commitment to Bristol City. The last thing we need after last season is one where we hear the term "rebuilding process" because I think it could alienate the supporters who are probably getting tired of hearing positive things going in to the season, only to come up woefully short. Maybe the relatively new management team will surprise us all and come up with a winning formula and team to silence the doubters, a group that I lean towards at times, but I remain hopeful that I can be proved wrong.
Caulker was indeed a highlight of last season, I dread to think what would have happened if he hadn't been here but that said, he wasn't ours to lose in the first place! I'll be disappointed if Nicky goes but not distraught as I feel we have enough up front without him. Keef knows the squad limitations, ie full backs/creativity and he has come out and said so in the press so you can bet he'll be trying to rectify this as we speak. With Wigleys contacts we could end up with another gem or two on loan although I'd rather see permanent signings.
Swansea,Norwich are deffo after him plus Harry boy said 2 or 3 others,so in fairness to Keef he had no chance but he can now prove himself, with actions, thats all any of us want.
