A chance for the defenders in the reserves to impress? Or just play 3 across the back and try and outscore Leicester?

That's assuming that we will have three fit defenders for Saturday!!!

We really should have too much for Leciester at FCR regardless of which squad members get a run out - also there is no guarantee they won't also compromise their team to concentrate on getting into the Prem League.

Lambert is fast becoming a master of leaving his opponents guessing.

probably a bit of both. i think we are really struggling with injuries at the back but there is no doubt that lambert will fancy beating leicester. i'm sure he'll stick out the best team available - we don't have any midweek games this or next week whilst leicester play tonight and next midweek so we should have a slight advantage in that respect

They are also playing away at Watford tonight and then play again on the Thursday after our game so will have their own issues around protecting their players. They still harbour some aspirations to make the playoffs, so can't really see them fielding their A team at this stage. I agree we SHOULD be capable of taking this, but it is the FA cup, and things dont always work out the way they should. Leicester are a strong side and demand respect we shouldn't expect to just turn up and win, but then I dont think for a minute PL will let any of his players underestimate the difficulty of the game

i think PL's comment means that any player not 100% fit won't be used, rather than playing a second string team. can't see him not going for the win, not in his makeup.

Do we even have a second string team? Judging by PLs squad rotation, they're pretty much all good enough.

That's exactly it CanariesSoccer. Whoever he plays, (Vaughan, Lappin?) will be good enough to give it a real go. They'll be at home with a full house, and will be more than capable of winning. Lambert doesn't do second strings. Of course, Leicester may pull off a surprise win, and fair play to them if they do.

I think Vaughan and Morrison up front with Laps at left back, they will give it a damn good go and whatever is is, PL is right Man Utd is the priority!

I would think virtually every member of the squad has played in the Prem this year. And the way Drury, Lappin, Wilbraham have come in and not let us down, they are rightly part of that squad by right, so playing them is not going to make too much difference. And they have the added impetus of playing well and knocking on the dood even louder.
