I've just had a quick review of the players linked with thread and something occurred to me. It might assist those of us who are losing sleep due to us not signing a striker so far. The observation is this. With most players we have signed, we have had an early hint about our interest followed by a silent period where nothing happens and people forget we were linked with them. This is the case with the following players. Matt Mills Kasper Schmeichel Lee Peltier Neil Danns John Pantsil David Nugent Paul Konchesky Saun St Ledger The long period of silence was followed by news they were in talks or having a medical before they signed on the dotted line VERY soon afterwards. This leads me to speculate that any rumours which are currently circulating are probably wrong. It seems the rumour mongers get wind of Sven's interest very early on followed by 'radio silence' until the deal is almost done. So any striker we are likely to sign will probably be a target mentioned months previously which then went dead. (don't mention Maynard, don't mention Maynard) And the current 'info' we are stressing about is probably agent talk, pure rumour and smoke screen!
Mayna....... Yak? I hope that Santa Cruz comes through, he is quality, and would be in any prem side that didn't have ridiculous amounts of money to spend Failing that, i think we just need to fork up £6m for <insert Leicester Citys bane from wednesday here>
