I am really looking forward to the season ahead. Really cannot wait.

I can't wait till all the pundits pick their team to watch, giving their thoughts and where teams will finish and how they will do..

I can see them all having something really positive to say about us...and some of them picking us as dark horses.

Reason why I am looking foward is because we have a MUCH stronger team than last seaon.

We have 3 top quality keeps...what club can boast that?

Our defence is looking better, and I honestly think our back 4, when all fit will line up as:

    O'shea----Brown----Turner----Bardo

While that defence is not 'attack' minded, it seems to be solid, AND has the added experience in what we need.

Our midfield has fight, and now goals. I will be looking forward to some goals from outside the box at the SOL. How many times in the last few years do we get goals from outside of the box.

    Midfield of:

    Larsen----Catts--Gardner---Vaughan

While not fast, they can pass, score and produce a deadball which we generally havn't had...

    and now the attackers.

Yes we may not be as strong as last season.. but then again we only had Bent who was proven. Wellbeck was untested, and was a suprise and how good he was. Gyan was not match fit, and Campbell got crocked 3rd game of the season..

our strikers this season have flair, strength, goals and height. I expect goals and good things.

    Strikers:

    Gyan --- sess

that has flair, pace and movement. Wickham and Don Won will provide goals as well.

So sunderland fans we have alot to look foward to. Stop following these rumours about maybe players...concentrate on our own players.

Pre-season friendlies mean jack S**T. All about fitness.

2 and abit weeks :) I will be counting down...

Agreed with all expcept for the left wing situation. I'd start Colback or Wickham (after his prolific spell there with Ipswich, 9 goals in 20 games last term).

Vaughan is not a winger, he isn't even a left sided midfielder. Don't get me wrong I rate the lad but he needs to be in the centre of the park.

Thought O'Shea was LB/CB not a RB put him at LB and Bardo at RB more balance than two out of position players in my opinion.
